Overcoming The Battle In The Mind. 2 Corinthians 10:2-6. By Joel Hammen.
2 Corinthians 10:2-6 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. How does the World Wage War to Overcome the battle of the mind? How should the Church Wage War to Overcome the battle of the mind?

Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV [10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [18] And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.
[6] And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete When you follow Christ in obedience, when Christ is on the throne of your life, when you experience Christ's salvation, those disobedient thoughts that go against Christ will be demolished. The untruths we role play in our head are demolished. The strongholds, the prison in our heads, the role playing of events in our heads are demolished. The things we battle over in the mind are lies. Bringing these things to Christ salvation is where we find truth. So what is your fortress? The vain thoughts that do battle in the mind or is Christ your fortress?
