Overnight: Flight DAY TWO MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2016 ARRIVAL Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport. Welcome by our representative and assistance with arrival formalities. Enter the city of Tel Aviv, known as the city that never sleeps with its centers of culture and recreation and national history such as the Habima Theater, sprawling beaches, Dizengoff Street and Rabin Square. Check into the hotel. Visit the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv at the place where it all began. Visit the Ayalon Institute near Rehovot for an eye-opening tour of a clandestine munitions factory used during the British Mandate. Defining and Meeting Israel s Challenges for the Next 30 Years: Dialogue with a scholar from the Reut Institute. Reut is an innovative policy and strategy group designed to identify the gaps in current policy and strategy in Israel and the Jewish world, and work to build and implement new visions. Dialogue with members of the Jaffa Arab-Hebrew Theater, for perspectives on the challenges and successes of dealing with interfaith dialogue in a creative way. Overnight: Dead Sea DAY FIVE THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 2016 INTO THE DESERT, MASADA AND THE DEAD SEA Early departure from the hotel with breakfast boxes to walk up the Snake Path to Masada, Herod s mountain palace and the site of the Jewish Zealots last stand against the Roman Legionnaires. OR Take the cable car to ascend to the top of Masada where you will meet the rest of the group. Cross Israel s border fence with Jordan and visit Kasser Al Yahud, the traditional spot where Christians believe the baptism of Jesus took place.
