GREATER DAYTON CORVETTE CLUB (GDCC) Minutes January 19, 2011 President Freddie Haugh called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Thirty-one members were present. ANNOUNCEMENTS/GUESTS Guests Jerry and Debra McElroy, owners of a 2004, were welcomed to the meeting. SECRETARY S REPORT Larry Kopa moved the minutes from the December meeting be accepted as written. Seconded by Pat Frymyer. TREASURER S REPORT Beginning Balance $4,160.84 Expenses 2,000.00 Income 534.00 Ending Balance $2,694.84 Herb Smith stated that he received thank you letters from Artemis House and Wesley Community Center for the Club s $500.00 donation to each and National Ataxi Foundation for the donation made in Steve Moorhead s name. VICE PRESIDENT S REPORT No report. PRESIDENT S REPORT Freddie stated that she received an acknowledgment from Fisher House for outstanding support. This was for the $500.00 donation made to their organization. Jay Robinson is at Kettering Hospital for bladder stones. He is expected to be home soon. COMMITTEE REPORTS SOCIAL Marsha Woolery recapped the following: February 6: Five o clock Super Bowl party at Bob and Freddie Haugh. More information to follow.

February 12: Don and Sharon Pennell are arranging a Valentine s dinner at a restaurant to be determined. More information to follow. February 20: Daytona party at Mark and Connie Shank. More information to follow. April 3: Corvette Parts Swap N Sell, 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m at Bud s Chevrolet, St. Mary s OH. There is a $5.00 admission fee. September 16-18: Mid-America Funfest in Effingham IL. Marsha reserved 10 rooms at the Comfort Inn. MEMBERSHIP Dave First reported for Judy Smith that we have 95 members. PUBLIC RELATIONS No report. NEWSLETTER No report. NCM AMBASSADOR Jerry Schlatter reported that the National Corvette Museum continues to have Corvette raffles. Jerry stated that the Museum publishes a newsletter every other week. Attending club members agreed that Jerry should receive the newsletter and forward to GDCC when received. The C5/C6 Bash is scheduled for mid-april at the Museum. WEBMASTER No report. OLD BUSINESS Freddie stated that an E-Board meeting did not occur to discuss the posting of information on the website. A meeting will be conducted prior to the Club s February meeting. NEW BUSINESS Don Pennell said that he was contacted by Dale Park from Tack It Up Motor Sports about services provided by his company. A motion was made and passed for Don to extend an invitation to Mr. Park to attend a future GDCC meeting and provide more information about services. Mark Shank suggested the Club think of changing the annual awards banquet to a summer month. If this happens, we can drive our Corvette s to our own banquet. Further discussion will occur at a future meeting.
