The class does not have the same caliber as it did prior to the merge, and I became less interested in attending. 2/20/2015 3:03 PM 9 Love our class. Great bunch of caring people. 2/17/2015 5:26 PM 4 / 12

10 Class size is very small. 2/17/2015 3:54 PM 11 I was satisfied with my class (I was the facilitator, but no one would help to back me up when I needed to be out. 2/17/2015 2:46 PM 12 I would like to visit other classes or start a new class but feel guilty leaving the group we have been with for so long. It would be nice to be able to mix it up a little and not have to stay with the same group. Is there an option to do it like small groups and switch up your group every two years? 13 regarding the plan below, the one I am most interested in, Blended, I cannot attend unless I leave my SS. (which I won't do) The Service I do attend starts early which I am not to excited about but would continue that one. 14 We are going to look for another class with facilitators that will follow study. We have stayed with this class because we love the people, but the lessons are usually disappointing. 15 This doesn't really apply since we no longer have this class. I also attend Discerning hearts, but without my husband since it's girls only. We need to visit new classes and find where we "fit" once again--- just hard to start over. 16 Relative new teacher Danny Philpot is doing a great job. As a result the class is improving. The class has a few members that seem to attend for the purpose of chatting for the hour vs learning but Danny is slowly getting them under control. 2/17/2015 10:53 AM 2/17/2015 9:50 AM 2/17/2015 9:46 AM 2/17/2015 9:08 AM 2/17/2015 8:36 AM 17 We need some Spirit filled teachers 2/17/2015 12:01 AM 18 Space is an issue. 2/16/2015 8:23 PM 19 We miss personal family bonding - just doesn't happen. Too many kids activities to juggle I guess. And, I'm constantly guilted to volunteer for kids Sunday School- case in point. 2/16/2015 7:37 PM 20 We are a close knit group with children similar in age and enjoy our various studies and prayer time. 2/16/2015 6:11 PM 21 I enjoy the choices of study and listening to everyone's experiences. 2/16/2015 5:57 PM 22 good group of class members, we have good discussions on the various topics that we cover. 2/16/2015 5:45 PM 23 Great group of women! 2/16/2015 5:25 PM 24 Why have SS classes start at 9:30 and not the current 9:45. It would not impact the 9:30 or 11:00 services, but MAY make the 8:15 attendee rush to their class, thus giving zero time to talk to fellow members as they leave the service, get in line to greet new members, get in line to speak to the Pastor after service ---- basically makes no sense, doesn't seem to be well thought out and seems designed to meet Don's agenda without regard to what previous surveys reflect current members like or want. 2/16/2015 5:24 PM 25 It was not uplifting and we grew tired of reading books instead of the bible and it's teachings. 2/16/2015 5:22 PM 26 Due to Chancel Choir commitments, it is necessary that I leave the SS class at 10:25 am. I never hear or participate in the last 15 to 20 minutes of the class. Will probably drop out soon anyways. 2/16/2015 5:18 PM 27 Extremely happy with our class~we are family. 2/16/2015 4:41 PM 28 love the people and the discussions we have 2/16/2015 4:41 PM 29 Even after moving to a larger room, it is too small. 2/16/2015 4:27 PM 30 I was unsatisfied that is why I chose to do something else. 2/16/2015 4:22 PM 31 It was a good class, but small. Not sure exactly why it folded. Bonnie was the leader of it...can't remember the name off the top of my head. 32 What problem are we trying to solve by having a 9:30 Blended service? Worship attendance for Traditional is in decline. Lowest avg attendance since 2006. 33 Too large and meet in a module which doesn't encourage social interaction. SS class topics are humdrum now. WE need some new blood 2/16/2015 4:16 PM 2/16/2015 4:14 PM 2/16/2015 4:13 PM 34 The group is great, the teacher is even better. But the trailer is pretty tired and worn. 2/16/2015 4:12 PM 35 Only concern is that the class is just too big. Like the format, leaders, and other members but just too many of us in a small space. 2/16/2015 4:08 PM 36 Not feeling a fit anymore but feeling stuck there. 2/16/2015 3:57 PM 5 / 12

37 I assume "somewhat satisfied" is more satisfaction that "satisfied". 2/16/2015 3:56 PM 38 On occasion the space is a little cramped. It depends on the number of people we have. 2/16/2015 3:56 PM 39 I think we need to be more respectful of church timeline by ending class on time. Fellowship to 10 AM then lesson for 30 minutes. Discussion and prayer and done at 10:45 so kids can be picked up / teens met and fellowship with other church members and attract to SS. 40 We currently do not have a regular teacher. We rotate the teaching duties. Some are better than others. For example, Millie is teaching us now and it is excellent. The people in the class are wonderful. 41 We are in a pre-k classroom where there is no whiteboard for our sunday school bible studies we have done in the past and are currently doing. Also, a nice flat screen tv with dvd player with surround sound would be nice. We currently have to all move seats to see the tv for when we do studies that have a video that goes with it. We use metal chairs and currently sit in a circle as best we can. Would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room and even a mini-fridge of some sort to store items that need to be kept cool? Not sure if that is an option. :) 42 Please consider the burden of adding a new service on the folks who assist with leading worship. Will there be three choirs? Will musicians play in three services? Who will move instruments and electronics from vinebranch to the sanctuary? What about when handbells or the orchestra are set up. Will they have to take everything down for 930 and then have it back by 11? When will musical groups have time to rehearse and warmup in the sanctuary? Please consider all of this before adding another service. It is very hard to find traditional services. Please don't take the traditional services away. 2/16/2015 3:44 PM 2/16/2015 3:41 PM 2/16/2015 3:24 PM 2/16/2015 3:22 PM Q4 AFUMC is considering a new schedule on Sunday mornings:8:15 am Traditional Worship (Sanctuary)9:30 am Vinebranch Worship (Chapel)9:30 am Blended Worship (Sanctuary)11:00 am Traditional Worship (Sanctuary)11:00 am Vinebranch Worship (Chapel) Sunday School: Current classes begin at 9:30 rather than 9:45 am New Sunday School Classes will be started at 8:15 or 11:00 am if needed/desired If this schedule were adopted, what would be the likely impact for you personally? My child does not do well in the nursery and it knowing she is upset really bothers me. I would love to have an opportunity to worship with her but disturb others. 2/28/2015 10:51 AM 2 Confirmation is ending. I guess I'll find a new class. 2/26/2015 9:22 AM 3 It's possible those in my Sunday School class would consider switch to 9:30 am Worship and 11:00 am Sunday School Class. It might be a preferred alternative or it might be something that would be acceptable if we were asked to do 2/26/2015 1:39 AM 4 Have you considered asking as classes to change their meeting time? 2/25/2015 5:28 PM 5 I have been hoping for 10 years that we would do a blended worship. It's unfortunate that it is at the same time as Sunday School. We will probably continue to do Sunday School only which is what we do now. 2/25/2015 3:12 PM 6 diff. s.s. and same trad. service at 11:00 2/25/2015 1:51 PM 7 I would still sing triditional service and fit V branch in 2/25/2015 1:35 PM 8 I would attend the 8:15 tradtitional and 9:30 S. School 2/25/2015 1:30 PM 9 8:15 SS & 11 am worship - no 2/25/2015 1:14 PM 10 And look for a new church that I can get to quicker. 2/23/2015 10:00 PM 11 Since I am the teacher I would do whatever my class would do. Ya'll do know parking is going to be a problem right? 2/19/2015 8:47 AM 12 I want to worship with my family. If my kids and youth are at 9:30, then I need to stay on my sane schedule 2/18/2015 5:36 PM 7 / 12

13 I guess we would try to get to the 8:15 service, but more than likely we would have to split our time between the 9:30 service and Sunday school. I feel like our kids would be missing out though as they would only be going for one hour instead of 2 most weekends. 2/18/2015 5:23 PM 14 I would no longer attend AFUMC. This new proposed schedule doesnt work and makes no sense to me. 2/17/2015 10:25 PM 15 I see big traffic congestion trying to park with Sunday Schools and a church service all starting at 9:30 2/17/2015 9:15 PM 16 However on Sundays my husband is out of town, I would be willing to try the Blended service 2/17/2015 3:14 PM 17 This is an awful schedule. Current schedule is perfect. We attend Sunday School at 9:30 followed by Traditional at 11:00. This proposed schedule would require us to pick between both. Additionally, it wouldn't make sense to go to 8:15 Sunday School then wait till 11:00 for the next Traditional service. 18 I sing in Testify mostly at 8:30 worship. It would impact us a lot to have to be robed up to practice any earlier than we do now. 8:30 is early enough even for worshipers. I believe some will drop out of church all together if 8:15 is choosen for traditional worship. Don't like the blended worship as well. The music will change if Vinebranch worships are blended with the traditional. Vinebranch needs to be kept separate for their needs are different from those of the traditional worship. 2/17/2015 2:36 PM 2/17/2015 2:05 PM 19 I'm not sure. We would attend worship and possibly a new SS class 2/17/2015 10:53 AM 20 We would probably consider another church. 2/17/2015 10:34 AM 21 We will look for a different SSC and continue to attend the 11:00am Traditional Service 2/17/2015 9:46 AM 22 Don't understand the need for the blended service and thus the change to 8:15 for the early traditional service. Just leave things the way they are. 2/17/2015 8:36 AM 23 depends on Sunday school class 2/17/2015 12:01 AM 24 right now, I go to early worship and SS. I have to be at work at noon. this schedule works well for me. love that SS doesn't conflict with services. 25 Do not think it is a good schedule. Cpnsider adoption a Sunday evening worship and Adult Sunday School when teens are already at AFUMC for youth group. 2/16/2015 9:39 PM 2/16/2015 8:23 PM 26 Have you thought of asking ss to change their times? 2/16/2015 8:10 PM 27 Any way to do 8:45/9am start? Abbreviated SS or service.? sat night family? 2/16/2015 7:37 PM 28 Why are you even thinking of this. Attendance is down. Adult SS classes are breaking up. 2/16/2015 7:28 PM 29 Why aren't we looking to expand the worship space in the plan for the building plan? 2/16/2015 6:53 PM 30 It is helpful to have Vinebranch at 8:30 in case we have children's activites and cannot make 11am vincebranch. Do not want to miss SS for 9L30 Vinebranch 2/16/2015 6:11 PM 31 Don't know how to answer at this time. I would be disappointed of the changes 2/16/2015 5:57 PM 32 I would probably attend my current Sunday School class and attend current worship service, but I would probably try the blended service 2/16/2015 5:52 PM 33 what exactly is "blended"? some of vine branch & traditional? 2/16/2015 5:45 PM 34 I don't like the earlier 9:30 Sunday school start 2/16/2015 5:42 PM 35 The other option u don't list is to attend SS, and skip service which I'm more than likely to do if u mess with trying to stuff more intosunday morning that logistics allow. I do NOT want people in the Snctuary drinking coffe & eating donuts at ANY time 36 I'm sure the sentence (above) explaining the start time is clear to most, but it certainly is not to me. Currently, the Open Door class commences between 9:50 and 10 am. 2/16/2015 5:24 PM 2/16/2015 5:18 PM 37 attend a new class and worship at 11:00 or just attend church and join a weekday or wed night class 2/16/2015 5:15 PM 38 we might lose some of our AITV classmates currently attending 8:30 Vinebranch?? 2/16/2015 5:12 PM 39 I would attend 8:15 SS and 9:30 blended service 2/16/2015 5:12 PM 40 I would not like to have to choose between attending Sunday school or Vinebranch. The 9:30 slot would force that. I would not like that. 2/16/2015 5:03 PM 8 / 12

41 I am in chancel choir. Usually 11:00 and some 830 2/16/2015 4:47 PM 42 Many members of our class currently arrive late (by 10 AM) so 9:30 may not work well 2/16/2015 4:41 PM 43 Please do not change current schedule!,! 2/16/2015 4:28 PM 44 wouldn't the answer to depend on if the class you wanted to attend was available when you were not at church? 2/16/2015 4:22 PM 45 Stay in Sunday school class - but move from 8:30 Vine B to 8:15 Trad 2/16/2015 4:20 PM 46 I would be open to attend 9:30 worship and 11 SS if it would help the church grow 2/16/2015 4:18 PM 47 Honestly, I don't know. We enjoy SS the most. I was excited about a possible blended worship, but would not attend that over my current SS class. 2/16/2015 4:18 PM 48 I am understanding that worship would start at 8:15, end at 9:15 and SS would start at 9:30. Correct? 2/16/2015 4:17 PM 49 I wouldn't change the 11:00AM Worship service. Two teenagers and that's as early as we can get them up! If my only option were an 8:15 Sunday School, I would join a class but probably wouldn't be there every Sunday. 2/16/2015 4:16 PM 50 Correction: Current Sunday School starts at 9:45 and not 9:30 2/16/2015 4:14 PM 51 Would consider another church 2/16/2015 4:14 PM 52 i might do 8:15, and 9:30 blended and the 11 am SS class 2/16/2015 4:13 PM 53.I just prefer to attend a Sunday School class either before or after the service I attend and I can be flexible as to which service that is. 2/16/2015 4:11 PM 54 I would try a new worship time so I could try to go to Sunday School, too. 2/16/2015 4:04 PM 55 I would try the 9:30 blended service (my preference) for a bit and if I felt it was what I prefer, I would then seek to change my current SS class. But I would definitely continue in both a SS and a worship service. 56 I would follow the lead of the majority of our long time Sunday school members. If they move times, I will move times. 57 My SS Class is more important than the worship service I attend. I will attend any worship service that does not conflict with the time my SS meets. 2/16/2015 4:03 PM 2/16/2015 3:56 PM 2/16/2015 3:52 PM 58 I am not crazy about any of the possibilities 2/16/2015 3:47 PM 59 Getting out of church and SS before 11 AM works best for us. Would NOT attend a blended service -- totally unnecessary with vinebranch and traditional options. 60 I do not understand this proposed schedule. Sunday school would not be just prior to or after worship?? And what is blended worship? 61 Seems like a fragmented approach. The only benefit I see is a little later congregational gathering for Vinebranch participants. 2/16/2015 3:44 PM 2/16/2015 3:41 PM 2/16/2015 3:27 PM Q5 If given the opportunity, how likely are you to volunteer to help start/lead a new Sunday School class?
