Invite them to dinner, ask them out for coffee, meet them somewhere for ice cream, or send them a card with a written message. Electronic contacts don't count--sorry, Facebook fans. But, accepting someone else's invitation counts for you too! The object of the game is not to see the same people as usual! Look across the aisles, behind the musical instruments and sound equipment, and perhaps even through the directory for folks you haven't seen in a while. Share your experiences in Joys and Concerns throughout this time, if you like, and we'll celebrate our time together in early November. Please leave them in the box in the Narthex and Cathy Carson will drop them off for the Soles4Souls http://www.soles4souls.org non-profit. Free Truck CHO is about to give away a truck which requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) because its gross vehicle weight exceeds 26,000 lbs. It was previously used to pick up donated furniture. It runs OK for a 25 year old truck, has air brakes and an automatic transmission, and has a lift gate on the back and is about 22' long. It says CHO on both sides. It is parked in the Vienna Town Yard at the end of Mill St. next to warehouses where the donated furniture is stored if you care to look at it. We are going to dispose of the Chevy/GMC because we just received a 2000 International truck from Fairfax County that does not require a CDL to drive it. If you might be interested in it, call George Bergquist at 703-727-5846 or gwb0745@gmail.com. The decision on who to give the vehicle to will not be made until after our CHO Board Meeting on Sept. 23.
