New! 2014 Correlation of Common Core State Standards Levels 1 & 2 Based on ACTFL s alignment of the National 800-328-1452 www.emcschool.com/teb

New Four-Level French Program 2014 Common Core State Standards T es branché? was designed with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mind! It emphasizes the purpose behind the communication by labeling activities that provide interpersonal (speaking-listening or writing-reading), interpretive (reading, listening, viewing), and presentational (writing, speaking, representing visually) communication. The goal of the textbooks is to move students from novice, to intermediate, to advanced proficiency levels by the time they complete the T es branché? four-level program. Connections activities in T es branché? that are specific to history and science allow students to learn about francophone history and scientific contributions made by Francophones. Technology skills are developed, as in the readings of Points de départ, where students research online using search words provided, and the Projets finaux, which allows for individual, pair, and group work using technology such as the Internet, video, smartphone, and online programs. T es branché? uses the CCSS to make sure all students are ready for post-secondary learning, working, and becoming global citizens. A correlation of T es branché? to the CCSS is at the end of the Annotated Teacher s Edition front pages. 1
