Immigration Information Session Review Management committee in its first meeting discussed the question of what matters are currently of urgent need in the community and conducted a quick research of the community and identified that international students currently completing their studies or recently graduated need trusted sources of information, therefore Melbourne Jamaat Australia worked hard to cater for the urgent need of the community. On 25th March, Melbourne Jamaat Australia organised a Immigration Information Session inviting Brother Ashraf Palasara; a registered immigration agent and Brother Aun Lakhani; Managing Director of RKPS Immigration and Education to present a special program for our Momineen students and graduates who require information and guidance on their immigration related queries. Brother Ashraf Palasara and Brother Aun Lakhani travelled from Brisbane, Queensland to provide a presentation and answer all questions related to Immigration. The event started with the recitation of Holy Quran, followed by introduction by General Secretary Farrukh Sewani. Br. Farrukh introduced Brother Ashraf who gave a 30 min detailed presentation and then spent next 45 mins answers all the questions of the participants. Brother Aun Lakhani then gave some advice to all students and encouraged students to engage with Jamaat. Vice President Raza Gulani then presented aims and objectives of Jamaat and encouraged participants to become members. Vice President invited Brother Mussadiq Lakhani to present a small token of appreciation to Brother Ashraf Palasara and Brother Aun Lakhani. Participants then enjoyed BBQ while networking with guests and other participants. A few participants became members and some volunteered for future events. Page 2
Annual Camp Review Members of Friends Forum, Panjtan Society of Victoria and Melbourne Jamaat Australia collectively organised the yearly camp. Conducted on 10th March to 12th March 2017, this 3 days and 2 nights camp was located at Fosters near Wilsons Prom. This was by far, the biggest camp with the highest number of participants. Each participant had a great time and left with new lifetime friends. Maulana Kumail Mehdavi also participated the event. The participants had a great time with loads of activities, daily five times jamaat prayers, tasty meals, a lot of jokes, lots of discussion and much much more. Participants have requested organisers to organise the camp twice a year and look into future family camp too. Following are some of the pictures from the camp trip. Page 3
