We will be celebrating the parish s 90 th anniversary on Saturday & Sunday, October 25 th & 26 th. Plan to be a part of this glorious weekend and invite your family and friends to join you.

Parents who have children 8 years of age or older who have not yet had their First Holy Confession are asked to enroll them in the First Holy Confession class. The deadline for enrollment is October 5 th. All children MUST participate in the special preparatory class throughout the school year in order to receive First Holy Confession as a group on Pentecost Sunday. For more information, contact Mrs. Mary Ann Sklaryk, youth minister or the clergy. Our parish s 90 th anniversary is rapidly approaching. Tickets for the banquet that will be held on Sunday, October 26 th are now available in the church office, following both Liturgies. and in the parish office Monday thru Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is no charge for the tickets. However, a special table will be set up in the hall for your donations of love on this joyous occasion. Tickets are necessary so that our caterers can properly prepare for the meal. The deadline to reserve your tickets is October 15 th. Reservations for tables of 8 may be made in the office. Please inform your family and friends and invite them to our celebration, which will be led by Metropolitan Antony and Bishop Daniel. WELCOME!! Sincere greetings are extended to all delegates and guests who are attending the 67 th annual convention of the Ukrainian American Veterans, which is being held this weekend at the Holiday Inn in Independence. Visitors from posts around the country are attending the convention hosted by our local Post #24 of UAV. We hope all visitors enjoy our local hospitality and pray that all their future endeavors will be successful. Mnohiya Lita! Remember only the Parma Hospital notifies the clergy of any parishioners admitted and then, only if the parishioner registers as a member of St. Vladimir s. Also, parishioners who would like a home visit are asked to contact the clergy and make their wishes known. The Ukrainian Cultural Arts Association extends an invitation to everyone to attend their Masquerade Ball & Silent Auction on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at St. Josaphat Astrodome. Tickets cost $45.00 per person and can be purchased in advance at Cleveland Selfreliance Credit Union or by contacting Christy Bohuslawsky-Brown at (216) 287-9166 or cmv.brown.1@gmail.com All proceeds are to benefit the 2015 European Tour.

Please note that our parish clergy will be attending the annual Clergy Conference of our Diocese from Monday thru Thursday, October 6-9 at our center in South Bound Brook, NJ. If you need a priest for any emergency, call the parish office during normal hours or either rectory. Because of the conference, there will be no Moleben on Wednesday morning. Thank you to the members of the English and Ukrainian choirs who, after singing the regular Liturgies last Sunday, returned at 2:00 p.m. to sing the responses for the memorial service for the departed members of the United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio on the occasion of their 85 th anniversary celebration. The Panachyda was served by Bishop Daniel, Bishop John Bura and ten priests. Mark Your Calendar!! An Evening with Fr. Moses Berry A fundraiser for St. Herman s will be held on Monday, November 10 th at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 4548 Wallings Road in North Royalton,. Fr. Moses Berry is a priest at Theotokos Unexpected Joy Orthodox Church in Ash Grove, MO and is a national speaker on Orthodox issues. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for appetizers and a silent auction, with the program commencing at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 each and may be purchased from Mark Host. The annual September meeting and breakfast of the Parma Collaborative was hosted by our parish on Thursday, September 25 th. Everyone enjoyed the delicious breakfast and we thank the following individuals for making the time to prepare, serve and clean up after the meal: Mrs. Olga Carey, Mrs. Carole Holobinko, Mrs. Dareen Jogan, Mrs. Nina Novak, Mrs. Pauline Osad, Mrs. Betty Schtscherbak Pani Matka Mary Anne. The Parma Collaborative is an organization that, together with the Parma City Schools, churches and civic organizations, helps those of all ages who are in need in our community. By hosting the annual breakfast, we have become a part of the ministry within our community. Please remember to take advantage of our parish library and encourage other parishioners, as well as your friends, to visit the library and take advantage of the large selection of reading material for both adults and children. Check the parish Calendar of Events for the library hours. Parma City Schools and the Parma Area Family Collaborative will hold a Coat Drive from September 16 th to October 7 th. The Collaborative is collecting new and gently used coats for area children. NEW hats and gloves are also being collected. Coats, hats, gloves and monetary donations can be dropped off at the Parma Collaborative, 11212 Snow Road in Parma, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations can also be dropped off at any Parma City School s Home Liaison

Because the bulletin is printed in English and then translated into Ukrainian, the deadline for submission of articles is Tuesday of each week. The 2014 Winter Mission Trip to Ukrainian Orphanage! With the blessing of the Council of Bishops, the Consistory Office of Christian Charity, in cooperation with the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA announces the date for the winter missionary trip to Znamianka Orphanage for the faithful of our Church. This trip will take place from December 19 28, 2014. The cost of the Mission Trip, which includes the flight, in-country travel, lodging and food, is $2,500 (travel to and from New Jersey is NOT included). The application is posted on the Church s website at http://uocofusa.org/news_140908_5.html For more information, you may contact Protodeacon Ihor. CIRCUS ANYONE? As part of our parish s 90 th anniversary, we would like to begin the weekend of October 24 26 with a trip for our youth to the Ringling Bros. Circus at the Q Arena in Cleveland. All youth will be given complimentary tickets to the Friday 7:00 p.m. performance. Each child, however, must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. The admission for adults is $25.00. The deadline for ordering tickets is Wednesday, October 15 th. Tickets may be ordered by calling Mrs. Mary Ann Sklaryk at (216) 642-9355. As is the custom of our parish, for special events, flowers are ordered for the church. If you wish to remember your departed loved ones on the occasion of the 90 th anniversary, please fill out the following form and return it to the parish office or clergy by October 15 th.
