Ground Rules This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Joshua 1:8 THEREFORE I SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD CONCERNING MY LIFE & BUSINESS.
1. The favor of God surrounds me and precedes me. a. Psalm 5:12 12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. b. Proverbs 11:27 27 He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil. c. Proverbs 12:2 2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn.
2. The blessings of God are chasing me and overtaking me. a. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 Blessings on Obedience 1 Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: b. Luke 6:38 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
3. Whatever I set my hand to shall prosper a. Psalm 1:3 3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. b. Psalm 35:27 27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. a. 3 John 1:2 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers
4. My heavenly father gives me power to get wealth a. Deuteronomy 8:18 18 And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. b.proverbs 8:17-21 17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. 20 I traverse the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice, 21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, That I may fill their treasuries. c. 2 Corinthians 8:9 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
5. God is liberally supplying all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus a. Philippians 4:19 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. b. Proverbs 3:9-10 9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine. c. Matthew 6:8 8 Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
6. I no longer live under the curse of poverty. The windows of Heaven are open to me and God rebukes the devourer for my sake. a. Malachi 3:8-12 Do Not Rob God 8 Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, In what way have we robbed You? In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the store house, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this, Says the LORD of hosts, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, Says the LORD of hosts; 12 And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land, Says the LORD of hosts. b. Galatians 3:13-14 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree [a]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
7. The Lord has commanded me to be blessed; therefore, I am blessed and cannot be cursed. I am the head and not the tail. I am above only and not beneath. I will lend and not borrow. a. Deuteronomy 28:3-14 3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 7 The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. 9 The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.
12 The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the com mandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. b.proverbs 10:6 6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
