And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stem, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him. teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great c^m. But He said to them, "Why are you so tearful? How is it that you have no faith?" And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Himl" back of the boat and fell asleep. He was so very tired from preaching and teaching all day. Suddenly, a violent storm with a strong wind came down upon the lake. The wind made big waves. Many waves splashed into the boat. The boat began to sink.the disciples were in trouble and they were afraid. What could they do? They came to Jesus and woke Him up. "Jesus help us," they cried. "We are sinking." Jesus stood up and said, stop! Waves, stop!" The wind and waves obeyed Jesus. Sometimes we are In trouble. Sometimes we are afraid. Jesus is always ready to help us. ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH of the fve^honsand John 6:1-13 Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the miraculous signs he had performed on the sick. Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. The Jewish Passover Feast was near. Wien Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Vi/here shall we buy bread for these people to eat?* He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. Philip answered him, "Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bitel" Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass In that place, and the men sat down, about Five thousand of them. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted." So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten. Do you remember the miracle where Jesus stopped the wind and water? He has the power to protect us. Today we shall see that it is also Jesus who gives us what we need to live. Can you count to ten? Can you count to one hundred? One day Jesus was preaching to 5,000 men. There were also many women and children. They were there all day listening to Jesus. They became hungry. But where would food come from? They were a long way from home and there weren't any stores. The disciples could only find five loaves of bread and two small fish. How could so little feed so many people? Jesus knew. He had the power to feed all the people. He took the food and gave thanks to the Heavenly Father. Then He told the disciples to hand out the food. Jesus worked a miracle. Now there was more than enough food for everyone. Everyone ate and ate. They were not hungry any more. After the dinner, Jesus told the disciples to gather up the leftover pieces so that nothing would be wasted. When the disciples were done picking up, they had 12 baskets of food; 12 baskets is more than five loaves and two fish. See the power of Jesus! He fed 5,000 men with five loaves of bread and two small fish. Only Jesus has the power to do that. With this same power He gives us our food and all that we need to live. o/sl^hre^fiousand

ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH Mark 10:46-52 Now Ihey came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disci[^es and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Tlmaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of Dawd, have mercy on me!" Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, ha\'e mercy on me)' So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the Wind man, saying to him, "Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you." And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for your TTie Wind man said to Him, "Rabtwni, that I may receive my sight." Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Jesus has the power to protect us. Jesus has the power to give us all that we need to live. The miracle in this lesson shows us that Jesus has the power to heal us. There once lived a man named Bartimaeus. He was blind. He could not see anything. He also did not have any money. He was poor. He lived near the town of Jericho. One day Jesus came to Jericho. Bartimaeus believed that Jesus was the Savior of the world. He knew that Jesus was very powerful. He believed that Jesus could make his eyes better. So he shouted with a loud voice, "Jesus help me!" Some of the people told Bartimaeus to keep quiet. But they could not stop him. He shouted even louder, "Jesus, help me!" Jesus stopped and said, "How can i help you?" Bartimaeus said, "Heal me; make my eyes better." Jesus touched him and healed him. Now Bartimaeus could see. He looked all around. He saw people, trees, sky, and the road. But most of all, he could see Jesus! Bartimaeus was very happy. He thanked Jesus and went with Him. Do you ever remember being sick? Jesus Is the one who made you better. He has the power to heal. Above all, He has healed us from the sickness of sin, Jesus has the power to heal fivfirvthinn that is wrong with body and soul.

ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH *^aising azarus Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick." So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. Now Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You." Jesus sakj to her, "Your brother will rise again." Martha said to Him, "I know that he wili rise again in the resurrection at the iast day." Jesus said to her. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die. he shail iive. And whoever lives and treiieves in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:1, 3,17, 20-44 She said to Him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world." And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying. The Teacher has come and is calling for you." As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him. Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him. Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, foiiowed her. saying, "She is going to the tomb to weep there." Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died." Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. And He said. "Where have you laid him?" They said to Him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. By His power Jesus stopped the wind and the waves. By His power Jesus fed 5,000 men. By His power Jesus healed blind Bartlmaeus. Today we will see that Jesus also has the power to bring dead people back to life. There were two sisters named Mary and Martha. They had a brother named Lazarus. They were all friends of Jesus. They lived in the town of Bethany. One day Lazarus got very sick. His sisters, Mary and Martha, asked Jesus to help. They knew Jesus had the power to heal. But Lazarus died before Jesus came to Bethany. Now what could Jesus do to help? Jesus told Martha, 1 am the Resurrection and the Life." This means Jesus has power over death. Jesus went to the place where Lazarus was buried. It was a cave. Jesus called into the cave, "Lazarus, come out!" Lazarus had been dead for four days. The power of Jesus made him alive again. Lazarus came out of the cave. All the people saw Lazarus. They were very surprised. Mary and Martha were very happy. Someday we will die. But Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. He will make us alive again. We will live with Him in Heaven fnmvfir m azanis

ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH esiis drives out the 0Vllc9PintS Jesus has ALL power. He has power to protect us. He has power to feed us. He has power to heal us. He has power to raise us from the dead. Today our lesson shows us that Jesus has power over evil spirits. Right after Jesus stopped the wind and the waves, the ship came to the land of Gadara. A wild man lived there in a cave. The devil sent many evil spirits to live in him. The evil spirits made him do bad things. He Mark 5:1-20 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately (here met Him out of the tombs a man with an unciean spirit, who had his dweiiing among the tombs; and no one couid bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Htm. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me." For He said to him, "Ciome out of the man, unclean spiritp Then He asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, saying, "My name Is Legion; for we are many." Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So all the demons begged Him, sa^ng, "Send us to the swine, that we may enter them." And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea. and drowned in the wore no clothes. He hurt himself with rocks. He was very mean to people. He used bad language. The evil spirits made him live in a cemetery. They made him very strong. But Jesus was stronger than the wild man. Jesus had more power than the devil and his evil spirits. Jesus made the evil spirits leave the man. Now the man believed in Jesus. He wasn't wild anymore. He put clothes on and went home. He didn't throw rocks anymore. He was nice to people. He was very happy. He thanked Jesus. He told many people about Jesus and His power. What happened to the evil spirits? Jesus allowed them to enter about 2,000 pigs. The evil spirits drove the pigs wild. They made the pigs run over a high cliff and drown In the water below. The devil has a lot of power. He wants us to do bad things. He also wants to destroy us. But Jesus has more power. He has ALL power. He saves us from the devil. With Your power, raise us on the Last Day from the dead so that we may live with You forever in Heaven. With Your power, protect and keep us from the devil. 0 Lord, we are weak, You are strong. Help us, Jesus. Give us the victory over sin, death, and the devil. For the sake of Your suffering and death. Amen.
