We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him (Matthew 2:2). Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people (Luke 2:52). And a voice from heaven said, This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy (Matthew 3:17). Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:6). This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus is God s gift. Jesus is the king. Jesus is wise. Jesus is God s Son. Jesus shows us the right way. Jesus can change our lives.

Jesus Forgives a Paralyzed Man (Luke 5:17-26) Christmas Bonus Lesson (Luke 2:1-7) Easter Bonus Lesson (Luke 23:26 24:12) This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him (John 2:11). For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). When Jesus heard this, he told them, Healthy people don t need a doctor sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners (Mark 2:17). No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one (Luke 4:40). Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, Young man, your sins are forgiven (Luke 5:20). And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born (Luke 2:6). He isn t here! He is risen from the dead! (Luke 24:6). Jesus has God s power. Jesus gives us eternal life. Parable of the Farmer and the Seed (Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23; Luke 8:4-15) 8. Jesus Describes His True Family (Matthew 12:46-50; Mark 3:31-35; Luke 8:19-21) Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord (Psalm 40:3). For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does (Psalm 33:4). When Jesus heard this, he said, Healthy people don t need a doctor sick people do (Matthew 9:12). But Jesus replied, My Father is always working, and so am I (John 5:17). Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed (Luke 7:7). Then Jesus told her, I AM the Messiah (John 4:26). It s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What s important is that God makes the seed grow (1 Corinthians 3:7). Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother! (Matthew 12:50). Jesus is amazing. Jesus is trustworthy. Jesus came for everyone. Jesus is God. Jesus has authority over everything. Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus grows us. Jesus wants us in his family.

Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Silence! Be still! Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39). But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, Don t be afraid. Just have faith (Mark 5:36). They were terrified, but he called out to them, Don t be afraid. I am here! (John 6:19-20). Then a voice from the cloud said, This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him (Luke 9:35). Dear children, let s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions (1 John 3:18). Jesus has power to calm storms. Jesus has power over sickness and death. Jesus calms our fears. Jesus is God. Jesus-followers care for others.
Quarter 3 1. Jesus Feeds Five Thousand (Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-15) Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness (1 John 1:9). There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her (Luke 10:42). Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it (James 4:17). Then Jesus told him, I entered this world to render judgment to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind (John 9:39). Jesus shows us what it means to be great. Jesus forgives. Jesus wants to be our friend. Jesus does what s right no matter what. Jesus has the power to heal. 7. Jesus Claims to Be God s Son (John 10:22-42) The Father and I are one (John 10:30). Jesus is God s Son.
Quarter 3 8. Parables of the Lost Sheep and Lost Coin (Luke 15:1-10) 9. Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands (Psalm 119:176). Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). But Jesus said, Let the children come to me. Don t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children (Matthew 19:14). And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him (John 5:14). Jesus has power over death. Jesus deserves our thanks. Jesus wants to be with children. Jesus hears us.
Quarter 4 1. Jesus Meets Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10) 2. Jesus Triumphant Entry (Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-40; John 12:12-16) 3. The Poor Widow s Offering (Mark 12:41-44; Luke 21:1-4) 4. For, at just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords (1 Timothy 6:15). You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7). Now Jesus was deeply troubled, and he exclaimed, I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me! (John 13:21). I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you (John 13:15). But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! (Matthew 5:44). He was despised and rejected a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care (Isaiah 53:3). When we spend time with Jesus, he changes us. Jesus is the King. Jesus loves givers. Jesus knows what it s like to be hurt by a friend. Jesus shows us how to serve. Jesus loves even his enemies. Jesus understands suffering.

I am the living one. I died, but look I am alive forever and ever! (Revelation 1:18). Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared! (Luke 24:31). Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder (Luke 24:41). God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:17). And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Jesus loves us so much that he died for us. Jesus is alive now! Jesus shows us who he is. Jesus helps us believe in him. Jesus believes in us. Jesus is always with us.
