Prayer when sick Our Heavenly Father: I come to You believing that All things are Possible with You. I know You have the Power to Heal my sickness. I am bringing my sickness to You acknowledging that my body belongs to You. You made it, You know what s wrong with it, and You know how to fix it. If I have done anything to bring on this sickness I confess it right now and ask you to forgive me. From this point on I am turning my illness over to you and placing it in Your hands. Please direct me to the right doctor and those who can aid You in my healing. You alone are the Great Physician. You are Jehovah Jireh the One who can meet this need. You are Jehovah Rapha, the One who can heal this sickness. You are El Shaddai, Almighty God nothing is too difficult for You. I believe that placing my trust in You will result in something good happening. Please point out anything in my own life that is disobedient for I desire to be totally right with You. I want to confess anything in my life that is unpleasing to You. I bring before You, for You alone know how to get through to him. I choose to forgive even though he has hurt me by the way he is living. My only motive for praying is to see brought back to You. I turn him totally over to You for You have ways of getting his attention that I could never accomplish. I believe he can change, but only through Your intervention. Whatever You must do to turn him around I ask You to do it. I pray You would bring confusion to his lifestyle. Let him lose his direction on the path out of Your will. Frustrate his plans. May he find no satisfaction in his lifestyle and find no happiness or peace. Please orchestrate circumstances to bring him to a point of desperation. Bring people into his life that You can use to change him. May he realize the wrongness of what he is doing and wake up to the fact that only in Your will is there happiness. Prayer for Someone Who is Lost Dear God: I am truly grateful for the opportunity to enter your presence on behalf of. I am greatly burdened for his lost soul. I make myself available to You to be used in any way in his life to bring him into a relationship with You. I realize that spiritually he is dead and that he belongs to Satan. I know that you want to save him more than he wants to be saved. The cost Jesus paid on the Cross proved that. I know that he is blinded to his need for You. May you open His eyes so He can see that need and see Jesus for Who He really is. I know that he is bound by the chains of Satan s lies and by his own pride. May he be released from those chains in the Name of Jesus. I plead the Blood of Jesus over his life. By faith in you and according to Your Word I demand Satan to release him from this bondage. My only motive for wanting to see him saved is so Your name might be praised, that he would miss hell, and experience a life worth living right now. Holy Spirit, I ask that You would convict him of his sin and his need to be saved. I pray for his salvation on the grounds of what Jesus did on the Cross to pay for our sins and to destroy the grip of Satan on his life. I pray that You would send divine appointments into his daily life and that you would use people to share with him the gospel. May he encounter real Christians possessing a gracious spirit and living according to Your Word. Please bring to his remembrance the truth he has heard about You. Create a desire within him to seek the truth. I pray that he will have no peace and no rest until he gives his life to You. If it takes making him miserable, then I ask you to orchestrate the circumstances for that to happen. I pray and continue to pray, never giving up on his coming to You for salvation. I want to Pray for Your Hedge of Protection Around. I pray that You would protect him from anything He hears that gives him the wrong advice or that could influence him to go in a wrong direction. I pray that You would protect his eyes from things that would negatively impact him and that You would send Your angels around him to protect him from harm or injury. Protect him from those who would have a negative influence on him. Surround him with people who love You and are committed to doing things Your way. Please help him to guard his heart from wrong feelings toward someone. I pray that he would not fall into financial or ethical traps set by the shrewd and ungodly. Give him discernment to see when something is not from You. May he have a passion to serve You, a hatred for anything that dishonors You, and a fervor for personal purity. I pray that You would give him an overwhelming desire to be a person of character and integrity. Guide every step that he takes and teach him something about You in each step. PRAYING GOD S WORD TOP TEN NEEDS HOW TO PRAY SCRIPTURE CONCERNING THEM SALVATION Romans 10:9--that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:13--for "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Lord, I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am calling upon Your name alone to save me. DIRECTION James 1:5--But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Lord, I don t know what to do in this situation (name the situation). I don t have a clue. But, I am asking You to show me what to do and how and when to do it. I trust Your timing. Instead of worrying, I am going to worship You and ask You to take care of this. I thank You for the answer in advance. Thank You for how You are going to deal with this. I roll all my worries over onto You. I give it to You and I leave it with You. TEMPTATION I Corinthians 10:13--No temptation [trial, testing] has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted [tried, tested] beyond what you are able, but with the temptation [trial, testing] will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. Lord, Thank You that no temptation can come my way that is new to You. Thank You that You will not allow more temptation into my life than I can in Your power say No to. Thank You for always making a way of escape placing an Exit over every temptation. Help me to look for those ways of escape. HEALING Jeremiah 17:14--Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For Thou art my praise. Psalm 103:1-3--Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. He is Omniscient He knows everything about everything even your needs and circumstances. He understands your circumstances. God, since you are everywhere, I am asking You to touch God, since You have all power, I am asking You to God, since You know everything, I am asking You to give me wisdom for Hallowed be Thy Name Matthew 6:9 Hallowed means holy. God is to be revered; you are to be in awe of Him. Praise Him according to His names. Thy Kingdom Come... Matthew 6:10 God s kingdom is God s rule, God s ownership, God in control, God s will. You line up your will with God s will. You make His priorities your priorities. Prayer is not getting God to do your will but discovering His will in a spirit of yes. Make sure your priorities line up with God s. Live Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. God s order is: 1. Jesus 2. Family (spouse then children if married and have children) 3. Church 4. Job 5. Recreation/play Trouble occurs when any number takes the place of number 1 and when any greater number takes the place of a lesser number. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10 This speaks of submission, surrendering every area of your life to God. It means you have no Keep Out signs for God in your life. As we also forgive our debtors... Matthew 6:12 God will not tolerate bitterness and unforgiveness in our hearts. Forgiveness is surrendering your right to hurt back someone who has, in some way, hurt you. Lord, I have been bitter over Lord, I have held a grudge against Lord, I choose to forgive for offending or hurting me. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13 Temptation means trial, and evil means the Evil One, Satan. Lord, if I can miss the testing of my faith, please let me. But, if not, give me the wisdom and strength to get through it. Lord, help me to pass this test of my faith. Lord, show me what You are trying to teach me through this test. Lord, rush to rescue me because the devil is tempting me to the devil is tempting me with Lord, show me those places and people I need to stay away from where I would easily be tempted.
