Administrative Office Assistant Collins UMC is seeking a part-time (32 hours per week), spirit filled, Administrative Office Assistant for our active, community-minded church. Duties include working daily with the pastor, and congregation, answering the phone and greeting the public, updating the prayer chain via email, preparing the weekly announcement brochure, preparing the worship projection media for all three services using Media Shout and keeping the church calendar and scheduling building usage. Including, complete office duties for a medium-sized church. The successful candidate would also attend Administrative Council meetings monthly. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and willing to learn Church Windows and Media Shout. Ideally, we are looking for a person with the multi-tasking skills to keep a busy office running. Music/Worship Leader Collins UMC is seeking a part time, dedicated, Spirit-filled, Worship Leader for our medium sized church. Duties would involve working with the Pastor on a weekly basis to plan the service, preparing the music for the team, practicing with the Praise Team weekly and attending the 8 AM and 11 AM services on Sunday. After Sunday, it would be your responsibility to collect the music, separate it back into folders and file it away. There would also be special services throughout the year: Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday, etc. for which you would be expected to lead music. There would be occasional weddings and funerals that you might be asked to play at, with separate remuneration. The position requires approximately 15 hours per week with pay dependent on experience. Ideally this person would possess the leadership skills to grow the praise band and be open to taking the music to a new level within the church. Organist/Pianist Vermilion Grace UMC seeks a person with musical knowledge and ability to produce high quality organ/piano music. As a staff member, the organist should have an understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith or willingness to learn, and a desire to foster a spirit of enthusiasm for the music. The organist should have the passion and ability to provide organ music for a congregation with diverse levels of knowledge and appreciation for different musical offerings. The organist should have the experience of working as a pianist/organist/accompanist.
