O CT O B ER 4 Children s Ministry A CELEBRATION OF LIZ DIEBOLD! SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30 AFTER EACH SERVICE Liz Diebold, our Director of Children s Ministry, has made the decision to retire from full-time church ministry. She has been Argyle UMC s Director of Children s Ministry for almost 20 years! Last year, she married Jeff Diebold, and they are looking forward to the opportunity and flexibility to enjoy travel and spend quality time together. Liz is also excited to explore a new chapter in her ministry as she was offered a role to consult with churches and children s ministry leaders in our area and across the country. Liz Diebold has been a true blessing to our church and community! She has impacted a generation of children and families. We hope you will take the time to reach out to her and let her know how much her ministry has meant to you, to our church, and to our community. While we are sad to see Liz leave fulltime ministry at Argyle UMC, we are excited for Liz and Jeff during this time of their life together and for Liz s new ministry opportunities. Please pray for her and this new season in her life. Also, we are excited about building upon Liz s ministry and all that she has done for our children at Argyle UMC. Please pray for our church as God ushers us into a new season of ministry with our children and families. We hope you ll join us on Sunday, October 30 for a celebration of Liz and her incredible ministry here at Argyle UMC! SERVE WHERE YOUR GIFTS ARE Each of you has been blessed with one of God s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well. -1 Peter 4:10 If you like to visit and greet people how about serving on our hospitality team? Sign up for however many Sundays a month you would like to serve from 9:10-9:40 am and/or 10:40 to 11 am to help with check in and greet families and show them to their rooms. We need your winning personality on our team!!!! If you like to teach, we would love to have you join our 9:30 or 11 AM teaching teams. We teach in teams so everyone has the chance to attend the worship service of their choice. Lessons, supplies and training are provided, but we need people to share God s love and grace! If you love God and kids but prefer to just show up and love on the children, we have a place for you to serve as a shepherd and be a teacher s helper! If organizing is more your thing, how about being a supply room organizer, or maybe you would like to use your hostess skills to help show our teachers and children the appreciation they so richly deserve! Prefer to use your gifts from home on clerical jobs? That is always needed too! If leadership is your gift, consider serving as a classroom representative for our Children s Council, our Children s Ministry leadership team that meets monthly. For more information, contact Liz at liz@argyleumc.org
