Why do we need salvation and how are we saved When the first Adam sinned he passed his fallen nature on to his descendants, the human race: Romans 5:12, 17, 19 Romans 3:23 1 Corinthians 15:45 As a result of this fallen nature we are all born separated from God. In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How? Realize you are a sinner! Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. 1. Romans 6:23 2. Hebrews 9:27 This includes eternal separation from God in Hell. 1. John 3:16-18 Sin blocks us from God and his purpose for our lives. Ephesians 2:1 Colossians 2:13 Sin is a huge problem for man, not only are we separated from God Ephesians 2:13 1 Peter 2:9 Abundant Life Sin left unchecked has a death penalty; eternal death which is eternal separation from God. Romans 6:23 Good works or religion performed, money given, or level of morality achieved leave us short of God s purpose for our lives. Titus 3:5 Ephesians 2:9 1

Ephesians 2:13 Christ s death on the cross is the only payment God accepts to bridge the gap between him and mankind We are able to live the abundant life and have access to eternal life when we believe on Christ s redemptive work on the cross. John 10:10 Romans 5:17 Jude 1:21 By believing on the Christ and his redemptive work, we are passed from death to life John 5:24 1 John 3:24 What is sin? 1. According to 1 John 3:4, sin is the of the law. To transgress the law has two basic meanings: To go beyond what the law allows. Not to do as much as the law commands. 2. James 2:11 says that if you someone, you become a transgressor of the law: you have gone beyond what the law allows. 3. James 2:8, 9, if you show respect (in the form of partiality) toward certain people, then you are a transgressor, because you are to love your as yourself: you have not done the minimum of what the law requires. 4. James 4:17 tells us that if we know to do, and do not do it, then we are committing sin. 5. James 2:10. It says that if you obey the whole law, and yet disobey in one point, you are of all. Do you realize that you are a sinner; that is, that you have transgressed the law of God? YES NO Why is there sin in the world? 1. According to Romans 5:12, sin entered into the world by one. 2. Romans 5:14 tells us the name of the first man to transgress or sin. What was his name? 3. In Genesis 1:27, it tells us that man was created in the image of. 4. Genesis 1:31 says that everything that God has made, including man, was very. 5. When God created man, where did He place him to live and work, according to Genesis 2:15? 2

Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages, or payment, of sin is. 2. According to Romans 5:12, death entered into the world because of. 3. That same verse further states that all men will die because have sinned. 4. Because of man s sin, we read in Genesis 3:22-24 that he was barred from eating of the ; so, physically, he would not live forever in a fallen state. Sin brings spiritual death. 1. God warned Adam that if he ate of the forbidden tree, he would die that very : Genesis 2:17. 2. That could not have referred to physical death, because they continued to live and face certain consequences. Please read Genesis 3:16-19, and see what the consequences were. a. The woman would now face greatly multiplied sorrow (in the form of labor and pain) in conception, and in bringing forth. b. Yeshua makes it clear in verses 5 and 6 that He is not talking about two physical births. That which is born of the flesh is. That which is born of the Spirit is. In John 5:18, the Jews clearly understood that Yeshua, by claiming to be the Son of God, was saying that He was with God. He loved us enough to die on the cross. 1. Hebrews 9:22 says that there is no remission without the shedding of. The word remission means to dismiss, release, or forgive. Psalm 66:18 says that if we regard sin in our hearts, then the Lord will not us when we pray. You can never lose your salvation because of Yeshua s promise. 1. In John 6:37, Yeshua says that those who come to Him, He will in no wise (for no reason) cast. 2. Do you realize that God will never turn His back on you, that He will never take away your salvation? YES NO Do you realize that the Lord Yeshua HaMashia paid the complete price for your sin, and because of that, you cannot lose your salvation? YES NO Based on the Bible, do you know for sure that if you died right now you would go to heaven? YES NO If Yes, please indicate when you asked the Lord Yeshua HaMashia to save you. While I was doing this study. Before I did this study. Bow your head right now and confess to God that you are a sinner deserving judgment. Ask the Lord Yeshua HaMashia to forgive you of all your sins, and to save you. Ask Him to cleanse your life, and to give you the power to live for Him. Ask Him to lead you to a good, Bible-preaching church, where you can follow the first command after salvation that of getting baptized and publicly confessing your faith in Him. Ask Him to help you find some good Christian friends to encourage you in the faith and to help you grow. I have just asked the Lord Yeshua HaMashia to save me. (Sign name here) (Date) 5
