Why do we need salvation and how are we saved When the first Adam sinned he passed his fallen nature on to his descendants, the human race: Romans 5:12, 17, 19 Romans 3:23 1 Corinthians 15:45 As a result of this fallen nature we are all born separated from God. In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How? Realize you are a sinner! Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. 1. Romans 6:23 2. Hebrews 9:27 This includes eternal separation from God in Hell. 1. John 3:16-18 Sin blocks us from God and his purpose for our lives. Ephesians 2:1 Colossians 2:13 Sin is a huge problem for man, not only are we separated from God Ephesians 2:13 1 Peter 2:9 Abundant Life Sin left unchecked has a death penalty; eternal death which is eternal separation from God. Ephesians 2:13 Christ s death on the cross is the only payment God accepts to bridge the gap between him and mankind We are able to live the abundant life and have access to eternal life when we believe on Christ s redemptive work on the cross. According to 1 John 3:4, sin is the of the law. To transgress the law has two basic meanings: To go beyond what the law allows. Not to do as much as the law commands. 2. James 2:11 says that if you someone, you become a transgressor of the law: you have gone beyond what the law allows. 3. James 2:8, 9, if you show respect (in the form of partiality) toward certain people, then you are a transgressor, because you are to love your as yourself: you have not done the minimum of what the law requires. 4. James 4:17 tells us that if we know to do, and do not do it, then we are committing sin. 5. James 2:10. It says that if you obey the whole law, and yet disobey in one point, you are of all. Why do we sin? 1. Romans 5:19 tells us that by one man s (Adam s) disobedience, many were made. 2. Psalm 51:5 states that we were born or conceived in. 3. According to Job 14:4, you cannot bring something clean out of something. 4. Romans 3:23 tells us that people have sinned. 5. In Ecclesiastes 7:20, we read that there is not a just man anywhere upon, which does only good and never sins. 6. 1 John 1:10 says that we are calling God a if we say that we have not sinned. Do you realize that you were not only born with a sin nature, but that you have also made the choice to sin countless times? YES NO Sin brings death. 1. Psalm 66:18 says that if we regard sin in our hearts, then the Lord will not us when we pray. You can never lose your salvation because of Yeshua s promise. 1. In John 6:37, Yeshua says that those who come to Him, He will in no wise (for no reason) cast. 2. John 10:28 shows that saved people are in Jesus hand, and that they can perish, nor can any person pluck them of His hand. 3. According to the next verse, they are also in the Father s hand, and no person is able to pluck them of His hand. 4. Romans 10:13 says that whosoever calls upon the Lord to save them, be saved. You can never go forward in the Christian life, until you know for sure that you are saved, and that Jesus will never forsake you. That verse did not say might be saved it said shall be saved. Do you realize that God will never turn His back on you, that He will never take away your salvation? YES NO Do you realize that the Lord Yeshua HaMashia paid the complete price for your sin, and because of that, you cannot lose your salvation?
