A Delicious Bake Sale for a Great Cause! November 18-19 The Cathedral Active Seniors Group will be sponsoring a bake sale to benefit our parish social ministry. The money raised from the bake sale will be used to purchase Christmas poinsettias for those in our parish who are homebound or in nursing homes. We need volunteers! The Magi humbly shared precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh with the infant Jesus. We are grateful to be able to assist those who are less fortunate in our area. Bible Study Cancellation Bible study has been cancelled for November 15. In acknowledging the Real Presence of Christ, the Tabernacle Candle will burn from November 11 through November 17 in loving memory of William and Dolores Daerr from their daughter, Sharon. If Online Giving is not an option for you, please consider writing a check for added security as opposed to putting cash in your weekly envelope. The annual Diocesan Poverty Relief Fund and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) collection will be held Nov. 18-19. Seventy-five percent of the funds collected will stay in the diocese to support local needs, and 25 percent of the funds will go to Catholic Relief Services for overseas relief efforts. If you or your business owes at least $3,500 in taxes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2017, there is a limited opportunity for you to redirect your Pennsylvania tax dollars to provide Tuition Assistance for Aquinas Academy and allows our parish to reduce our diocesan school assessment in the process.
