This month holds some exciting events for Bible Baptist Church, as we approach the Thanksgiving season. On Sunday, November 6 th, we will be having a full breakfast in our Sunday School classes as we cast our vote for the next Sunday School President. Will it be George Everett Washington? AaRonald Reagan? Or will it be newcomer Michael T. Roosevelt? We have had a lot of fun with this contest, and I hope you will join us for Sunday School at 9:15 AM on this special day. The Pastor s class (which normally meets in the auditorium) will join the LegacyBuilders class in the gym for our breakfast. Whether you are in Sunday School every week, or if you haven t been in awhile, this will be a great time of fellowship for all ages. I will also be sharing some pertinent information that morning about the state of our nation and the real election November 8 th. Everyone of us should be praying for our country, and for God to send revival once again. As Christians, we shouldn t just be voting for SOME ONE, but for SOME THINGS that really matter for the hope of our nation and for the principles we were founded on. Whatever your decisions on the candidates and issues, decide to VOTE, and PRAY before you vote! Also in November, we will be observing the Lord s Supper on Sunday morning, November 13 th ; celebrating our church s blessings at the BBC Family Gathering on November 20 th ; and closing out the month of Thanksgiving with our friends, Greater Vision. They will be singing the morning of the 27 th, and having a full concert that Sunday night at 6 PM. exceeding our goal of $100,000 for several years in a row, we are increasing our goal this year to $125,000. This is part of our strategy that we announced over a year ago to pay off our mortgage by December 31 st, 2017. We are currently on track to be debt-free 14 years ahead of schedule, and have saved over $2 million dollars in interest over the life of the loan! Every family is needed to help us reach the offering goal on December 4th. Remember, it is not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice. I encourage every family of BBC to pray and prepare for what they can give to help us reach our goal. This newsletter also includes information about our Senior Saints Thanksgiving Banquet, and several of our Christmas events, including the annual Ladies Banquet on December 2 nd, and our children s and adults Christmas musicals. To help you plan ahead, we have also listed information about a couples conference in January, taught by our friend, Pastor Tom Wagoner, from North Carolina. The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are wonderful times to share your faith, and to invite people to the many different activities our church has during these months. Keep going on the gospel tract challenge, and keep inviting friends and families to visit BBC, so that they can see what is so special about our church family. God has been so good to our congregation! To Him be all glory and praise and all the people said AMEN! Our focus in November will be giving from a grateful heart, and we will include messages about our stewardship practices and goals as we look toward our Annual Building Fund Offering on December 4 th.
