MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR I greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray that all is well with you and your family. May God grant you much favor in this year of dominion. Shout Amen! Let me admit upfront that I am full of excitement as I write you this message. In my spirit, I am doubly convinced that 2018 shall be a great year for each and every one of us individually and collectively. It is quite obvious that God is up to something big in our Church. Today, I will like to give a highlight of what to expect in the New Year. Below, please find the details: We have started the New Year with great success. The Daniel fast was a blessing to those who participated and the leadership workshop was quite successful. It is a joy to be a part of a Church ministry where we are getting trained every year just like any fortune 500 corporation. I am humbly grateful to all of our church workers and volunteers. Thank you for your obedience. Just remember that obedience birth blessings. May God richly bless you. In February, our youth ministry will be having a prayer breakfast. The goal of this event is to minister to all of our young people and help them to be filled with the Holy Spirit. As you well know, it is always the prayer of your Pastor for our Church to be a Spirit filled Church. Nothing is more important than to see souls being saved and people being filled with the Holy Spirit. I am excited about what God is going to do at this event. Please make your sons and daughters available to be a part of what God is doing in Zion Hill. In March, the excitement in our Church continues. We will be having a great Family and Friends on the first weekend of the month. More specifically, on Friday, we will have Pastor Donnie McClurkin as our guest. On Saturday, we will have a Church picnic to have fun, fellowship and eat crawfish. Finally, on Sunday, we will come together to worship God and celebrate all of our family and friends. As you can see, it will be a glorious weekend in the life of our Church. The news is already getting out on social media. People are excited about what God is doing in Zion Hill. Please, join the news chain and help us spread the news In short, each month of the year is going to be filled with meaningful Godly event that will launch our Church into its destiny. From January to December, we will be worshiping and serving the Lord with full excitement and joyful heart. This year, spiritual maturity shall be the priority of our Church as we seek to love God with our heart, soul, mind and body. So, I invite you to position yourself to be blessed throughout the year. Do not just stand bye or watch things happened. Be a part of what God is doing and join Him in making our world a better place. Finally, let me seize this opportunity to request of you to spread the word about every event that is taking place in Zion Hill. My commitment to God and to you is to make sure that we will do everything in the spirit of excellence and for the glory of God. I do ask of you to always invite people to our weekly church worship and to other Church events. Frankly speaking, there is no reason for us not to pack the house at every event in our Church. I strongly believe that God has given us the land but we must have the courage to go up and possess it. Please develop a habit of inviting people to our Church on Sundays and on Wednesday every week. I expect every true member of our church to do at least two things each week. First, attend our worship service and secondly, attend a small group meeting each week. Remember that faith without work is dead. I wish you a wonderful year and may God s goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life. Yours in His service, Pastor Joshua Dara, Sr. 2018 Year of Dominion

CUTTIN IT STRAIGHT Greetings, brothers and sisters. We have begun a new year. As you are aware, Pastor has decreed this new year, 2018, to be the Year of Dominion. You should be actively proclaiming, pursuing, and confessing domination in every area of your life, personally and corporately. This month s article will address the topic of dominion as it relates to the believer. This address will by no means completely cover all aspects of the topic. A word of counsel to you would be to secure Pastor s tape series on the Law of Dominion along with Bible study and prayer to dominate this year in your walk with God. According to the Webster Comprehensive Dictionary, International Edition, there are at least five definitions for the word, (dominion). For the purpose of this article, I have chosen its second definition with the field level designation of Law. Dominion is defined as the right to absolute possession and use; ownership; dominium. As a believer in Christ and a child of God, you have dominion. In truth, in the beginning, dominion was given to you (man) as a gift of God. Genesis 1:26 says, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth (KJV). In verse 28 of Genesis, God empowered them to succeed at dominion. Dominion involves supernatural authority. Authority that has been given by a supernatural being who is sovereign in his reign, that is the definition of supernatural authority. And we know that God is sovereign. In the book of Genesis, God supernaturally gave man, who He made in His image, the right to absolute possession and ownership of everything upon the earth. Earth is the place God created (Genesis 1:1) for man s habitation. We are quite aware that a deceptive transfer of this supernatural authority occurred in the Garden of Eden when Satan deceived Adam and Eve. But, that is certainly not the way the story ends. In the end, the offspring of the woman crushed the head of Satan taking authority and power over sin, sickness, and every other demonic thing on earth (Acts 2:34, 35). Now, Jesus is the Head of the Church and every believer (you and I) are the feet who have Jesus authority and power to stomp/ Listen! I have given you authority so that you can walk on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the Enemy, and nothing will hurt you (Good News Translation). You have been given back what the Devil took from you. This year, take a bold step in your Christian walk and dominate. Take your rightful place, above your enemies and not beneath them. You have dominion through what you say. So be careful this year, every day what you say. Why? Because whatever you say will dominate your life. Proverbs 18:20, 21 says, You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words (Good News Translation). The Psalmist in Psalm 8:4-9 says that human beings were appointed rulers over everything God made. This is a true statement because God cannot lie nor does He make mistakes. I urge you to dominate, to take your appointed positions. Settle it in your spirit, your soul, your heart, your mind. God has given you His authority through Jesus to dominate in every area of your existence. Dominate your fears. Over 366 times the Bible instructs you not to fear or be afraid. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control (GNT). Take control over that which has been making you fearful. Do so, knowing your authority over any fear is domineering. Dominate by God s Word. Speak God s Word in your circumstance, your situation, your difficulty, your problem. God watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). God s Word is supreme, magnified above His name (Psalm 138:2). You have supernatural authority to dominate by speaking God s Word over and in your life. Finally in Mark 16:17-18 you will find some signs of the believers dominion. These verses in the Good News Translation read, Believers will be given the power to perform miracles; they will drive out demons in my name; they will speak in strange tongues; if they pick up snakes or drink any poison, they will not be harmed; they will place their hands on sick people, and these will get well. It seems to me, the power given to believers is to dominate. I encourage you and urge you to not let this year be a year of submission. Do not come under sickness, disease, sin, fear, oppression, or any demonic activity. Dominate. You have been given the authority to do so. This year exercise that authority. Study God s Word. Increase your faith. Escalate your praise. Upgrade your prayer life. And dominate. I hope this month s article inspires you to dominate in this year. It is my prayer that you will take your rightful place above and at the head as God created you. Until next month, you be blessed. And whatever you do with the Word of God, remember to cut it straight. Minister Millicent Rubin
