(KJV) THEME: Encouraging the Elders While Preparing the Young, I John 2:14 (NLT) Church-Wide Mid-Week Bible Study March 28, 2018: The Seven Last Words of Jesus from the Cross, will be presented on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at Union Chapel M. B. Church during Mid-Week Bible Study. SAVE THE DATE!! The Spring Christian Education Conference will be held Monday-Wednesday, April 16-18, 2018. This conference is designed for ALL generations. Conference classes will cover the subject areas of: Stewardship, Spiritual Gifts, Mental Health and Wellness, and MORE. EVERYONE is invited to attend! A sign-up sheet is available at the Welcome Center. You DO NOT want to miss this conference! Sunday School Ministry: If you are between the ages of 25 to 39 and are not presently enrolled in a Sunday School class, and you would be interested in coming to Sunday School if there was a class specifically for your age group. We invite you to please sign up at the Welcome Center today immediately following the 7:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services. Effective immediately---for the safety of the congregation, doors entering the building on the back, east and west sides will be locked 30 minutes after the start of the 7:45 a.m. Worship Service and the 10:45 a.m. Worship Service. If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the respective service has started, you will need to enter the building using the front entrance only. Weekly Meetings/Seminars and Retreats Men s Ministry March 26, 2018: There will be a Monthly Men's Ministry Meeting held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. The Men s Ministry has been requested to provide support for the Women s/mother s Day Program. We are asking all men to join in providing support for this effort. Caring and Sharing Yard-Free Day in Support of Serving the City as One: Union Chapel's Passage Ministry is sponsoring a Caring and Sharing Day, which is also referred to as a Yard-Free Day, on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We request all Union Chapel members to please bring your new or gently used items that are no longer of use or necessity to your family, to the Church front lawn. Tables will be set up for adult and children's clothes and shoes, accessories, toys, books, household items, furniture, and a host of other miscellaneous items all for free to the general public. You may drop off your items as early as 7:00 a.m. on the April 14 th. For more information, please contact the Church Office at 256.852.1150. Youth Department Youth Trip to DC: The Union Chapel Youth Ministry will be taking the youth to Washington D.C from July 16 21, 2018. The ministry will be visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture as well as a local amusement park. If you are interested in your child participating, please sign up at the Welcome Center. There will be an interest meeting held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. for all parents. Employment The Union Chapel Child Development Center is currently accepting application forms for Part-time Day Care Workers.
