director LETTER FROM THE J A N W I L L E M VA N D E R H O E V E N DIRECTOR - ICZC "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. (John 7:37) This was the amazing grace filled invitation by our Lord during the last day of Succoth, the Feast of Tabernacles. It was, as the Apostle John himself explains, an invitation to be filled with overflowing with the endowment of the Holy Spirit Who would so fill the thirsty believer that it would result in rivers of water flowing out from him or her. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38) The emphasis here or condition for this amazing experience is on If anyone thirsts and that this invitation by the Lord Himself was made during the Feast of Tabernacles emphasizes this Feast as the favored time period for this to happen. Oh I would have fainted if I would not see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living sighs the Psalmist of old in Psalm 27:13. It is for such people who thirst for the greater fulfilment and reality of the Lord that we believe that we are called each year to the Feast of Tabernacles, a reality which was already foreshadowed when God poured out at Pentecost the first or former rain on His people and church now this will be the amazing double portion as the Scriptures point out: the former and the latter rain falling on His own people during the month of Succoth. Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you-- the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. (Joel 2:23, 27-29) But again do we really thirst for this renewed outpouring promised to us by the Lord or are we more or less satisfied with our present spiritual experience? It is abundantly clear that even as far as Israel is concerned the Bible clearly tells us that after Israel s physical restoration as prophesied in Ezekiel 37 and other scriptural passages, there will be this time an amazing spiritual restoration when the Wind of the Spirit will be prophesied to fall up on the whole nation. Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it," says the Lord. (Ezekiel 37:9, 13-14) The Scriptures declare that in that day when the Lord will have poured out His Spirit upon all flesh (at Pentecost in a foreshadowing of this Feast of Tabernacles outpouring it happened to 120 Jewish disciples!) but this time upon all of Israel with the result that no Israeli man or woman will have to teach the other to know the Lord FOR THEY SHALL ALL KNOW ME (Jeremiah 31:34) This then will be in the light of the experiences written about in the Acts of the Apostles in relation to what is described there double in scope and intensity. What a day and time that will be! Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen. Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; They will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses. One will say, I am the LORD s ; Another will call himself by the name of Jacob; Another will write with his hand, The LORD s, and name himself by the name of Israel. (Isaiah 44:1-5) Notice here again the Lord s condition: him who is thirsty! One of the results of this amazing outpouring upon him and her who is thirsty as described in Isaiah s chapter 44 is that there seems to be an intermingling of those who called themselves being the Lord s and those who call themselves as being a part of Jacob or Israel, which is exactly what is happening already today that increasingly those believers faithful and committed to the Lord find themselves increasingly also part and parcel of Israel, God s people. It is a glorious chapter ending as it will be the climax of this double Pentecost the building of God s residence and Temple in the midst of Jerusalem and a Cyrus-like man whom the Lord will use to accomplish this. Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel. Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; (Isaiah 44:23-24) Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited, To the cities of Judah, You shall be built, And I will raise up her waste places; Who says to the deep, Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers ; Who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built, And to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid. (Isaiah 45:26-28)
FEAST OF TABERNACLES 2 3-3 0 S E P T E M B E R 2 0 1 8 What a time of restoration we are living in as witnesses to the faithfulness of God as He also promised to glorify His Holy Name by fully restoring the Kingdom to the whole house of Israel. seventy ISRAEL HAS TURNED E z e k i e l 3 6 : 2 1-2 2 As Jerusalem was honoured by the nations as the capital of Israel during her jubilee celebration in 2017 we expect God to honour Israel as she celebrates her 70th year of home coming in 2018. Above all we believe that the fear of God will permeate the earth as these pivotal prophecies come to pass. 70 is often connected with God s administration of the world! SOME SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF GOD S 70 S Genesis 10 The world was repopulated with 70 descendants of Noah after the flood Genesis 46:27 70 persons went to Egypt Numbers 11:16 70 elders were appointed to help Moses administrate Israel in the wilderness Numbers 29:12-35 a total of 70 bulls were offered on the altar during the week of Sukkot Jeremiah 25:11 Judah spent 70 years in exile in Babylon Daniel 9:24 70 weeks were decreed by God as the period of Messianic redemption to be accomplished Luke 10:1 Jesus sent forth the 70 In 2018 we celebrate 70 years since the set time to favour Zion started the set time to restore Jerusalem to the future fulfilment of her destiny as a praise in all the earth is here! A pivotal part of her destiny is the rebuilding of the Temple. In Zechariah 1:16 the Lord speaks and confirms His plan to rebuild the temple and restore Jerusalem We are so very thankful for the courageous decision of the US President to acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, may he thus become like Cyrus to be used by God to favour Zion even for the building of God s house on His Holy Hill! The festive celebrations in a grande sukkah in the Hinnom Valley in Jerusalem! We have the unique privilege to celebrate Sukkot in a grand Sukkah in the historic Hinnom Valley at the foot of Mount Zion. During the meetings you may see a shepherd riding on his donkey as he herds his goats right next to us, this is like a déjà vu of 2000 years ago! As this is also the very Valley where the children were sacrificed in fire to the god Molech, it is such a historic place to gather. How amazing that the Lord, who is only redemptive, has decided to use this valley to redeem it in order to prepare it for the return of the King! Where drums were used to blot out the shrieks of the children we now have the privilege to lift up a shout of praise to the King of Kings. Many intercessors have prayed in this Valley over the years to reverse the curse and some years ago the birds returned to the valley as a sure sign that the curse has lifted off the ground. The Lord has indicated for some time through different prophetic voices that this valley will be His chosen place for an end time outpouring of His Spirit. We have had a foretaste of the lingering presence of the Lord during our meetings last year. Come and join us in the Hinnom Valley or Tophet, a valley prepared for the King. Isaiah 30:33 MEETING WITH ISRAELI S IN THE HINNOM VALLEY - we have invited many Israelis with us this year including handicapped and holocaust survivors, you will have the opportunity to meet them in fellowship and encouragement. MAGNIFICENT HISTORIC JERUSALEM MARCH - joining the nations and thousands of Israelis, we will walk through the streets of Jerusalem to bring encouragement, comfort and gifts to its people. SPENDING A SABBATH IN THE GALILEE - exploring the historic sites of the area where Jesus did more than two thirds of His miracles. Visiting the ancient city of Magdala where Mary Magdalene lived, visiting Tiberias on the shores of the Galilee and a worship service on a Jesus boat on the sea of Galilee BAPTISM IN THE JORDAN RIVER AT KASR-AL-JAHUD AND A VISIT TO THE DEAD SEA - Kasr-al-Jahud is believed to be the historic place where Israel crossed the Jordan to enter into the promised land, after the baptisms you can visit the Dead Sea with its unique beauty and vegetation, the lowest body of water on earth. We will end this day with a communion service in the Garden Tomb. We also offer an alternative choice if you do not want to attend the Baptism there is a FULLY GUIDED DAY TOUR OF JERUSALEM exploring the old city with all her treasures plus a communion meeting in the Garden Tomb.
Memories
About Us I N T E R N AT I O N A L C H R I S T I A N ZIONIST CENTER We at the International Christian Zionist Center believe, as the Bible clearly foresees, that the day will come when, to their own detriment and judgment, all nations will finally turn against the small nation of Israel that has been gathered back in its own land after centuries of dispersion. When this happens, according to the same Bible, there will be a movement among the nations by God s Holy Spirit, that will ignite a deep love for the Jewish people in the hearts of many Gentile believers as is already happening. Like the Moabite Gentile woman Ruth, these Christians will be gripped by the desire to tie their future destiny to that of the people of Israel, whatever the cost. They will say from the heart: Your God, O Israel, is our God, and your people will from henceforth be our people. (See Ruth 1:16) As Zechariah foresees, this will be a worldwide movement, incorporating true Gentile believers from every nation who want to cast their lot with the people of Israel: In those days, ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you. (Zech 8:23) It would appear, from the reading of this verse, that the ratio of this phenomenon will be ten to one, so that in the end, when all nations have forsaken or turned against Israel, ten times as many Gentile friends as there are Jews in Israel will come to her aid. This would then be anywhere between 60 and 100 million believers, if we are to anticipate the steady growth of Israel s population in these coming years. It will be these Gentile believers who will need to take the place of what today are the last few Israel-supporting nations, as even they finally succumb to the pressures of the world not to side for what is good for Israel. And these believers need to be instructed and trained to be, not just intercessors for Israel, but people who, as in the verses above, will go all the way with Israel, in deed and in truth. The prophet Daniel announced that there will be a time when those who know their God will be strong and do mighty exploits in His name. Our vision is that through acting as a mother center, or agency, in Israel, we can equip and position this Gentile believers movement to effectively help and strengthen Israel. When the last nation finally succumbs to the international pressure we, with God s help, will need to fill in the horrendous gap that will befall Israel, and in loving care and support literally take the Jewish nation on our shoulders as Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 60:1-12 In order to accomplish this, we propose to build a multi-facetted center that will serve to meet the needs of this worldwide Christian community of Gentile believers who wish to fully identify with the people of Israel in this end time.
