PHONE: (972) 562-2601 Greg Neugebauer June 17, 1960 - January 19, 2017 Greg Neugebauer, age 56, of Plano, Texas, passed away January 19, 2017. Greg was born June 17, 1960, in Newburgh, New York, to Leo Thomas and Dorothy (Estock) Neugebauer. He married Elycia Whitmill on July 4, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ever a scholar, Greg obtained a bachelors in chemistry and doctorate in chemical engineering from Clarkson University of Potsdam, New York. Later in life, he achieved a lifelong ambition with completion of a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which allowed him the opportunity to be an ardent defender of rights. He loved to share his continued intellectual pursuits in topics such as guitars, history, black holes and anti-matter. With an enduring interest in the animal kingdom, Greg volunteered his time and support to avian rescues and sanctuaries. One of the joys of his life was Rocky, his Blue-crowned Mealy Amazon Parrot. He enjoyed the many camping trips with Elycia which would provide him the opportunity to revel in the world of the National Geographic shows he adored as a child. He is survived by his wife, Elycia Whitmill of Plano, Texas; and parents, Tom and Dorothy Neugebauer of Rochester, New York. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy Smith Estock Kiernan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017, in the Great Hall at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 5871 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas. DAVID & CHRISTINE BEHE, JANUARY 25, 2017 To Greg's Wife and Family: Friend is not the right word for what Greg was in my life. He was a mentor, confidant, a brilliant scientist and attorney- and most of all a great man. I have had my struggles in this life, but I could always turn
to Greg when things were good, bad or indifferent and he was always a loyal friend. I was his intern at the Dallas PD office and from then on we had some kind of connection through thick or thin. All of my love and heart goes out to his family as we had just talked on Wednesday and this is a shock to the Dallas legal community. He was such a kind man, and if any kind of help is needed, please reach out. Best regards, Robert D. Durk ROBERT D. DURK, J.
