name. I am Lily Clement. I am 13 years old. I am in the 8 th grade. I love to play basketball for my school. I have one older brother which is a freshman at Sturgeon Bay High School. I love to go downhill skiing in the winter and sailing in the summer. I think that being confirmed is something that proves that I am a follower of God and that I promise to live in his I am Hannah Sternard. This is me: I am an eighth grader that attends TJ Walker Middle School. Besides completing homework, I enjoy volleyball, basketball, and track. In the summer I love to golf with my family and spend time with loved ones in my boat. All of my life I have had an amazing and inspirational sister, Ashley. I am lucky to have all of these things as I know that not everybody can have what I have. I am ever so grateful for these things. Another great support system is my grandparents and relatives who constantly love and guide me through life. In Confirmation I have learned why God called us all to his children. He wants us to share our knowledge of him, love, and forgiveness. He has shown me how to help others and so much more. Throughout this whole journey I have really loved spending time with God and my friends. I have learned how lucky I am to have this community of neighbors at Bay View Lutheran Church. My name is Jacob Norton. I am an 8 th grader at Southern Door. I am interested in golfing and swimming. I have two sisters. One is in college, I think she is 20. I also have a younger sister who is 11 years old. Confirmation is just a start on my faith journey. My favorite experience in confirmation was camp. We had a lot of fun and met new people and made a lot go new friends. In Confirmation, I have learned a lot about Jesus and what he did in his lifetime. Confirmation means to me that I am moving on in my faith life and that I am growing closer to God. Hi, my name is Drew Rass and I am an 8 th grader at Southern Door Middle school. I have two brothers. One, Isiah, is 14 months old and the others name is Cole and he is 12 yrs. old. I am going to miss Confirmation because of all the really cool things we have learned and the fun we have had while learning. I feel that affirming my baptism will be like being reborn in my faith with God. I would like to think about it as a new way of encountering God as a young adult in the congregation. I m Rori Krueger. I am an 8 th grader at Sevastopol School. I have two loving parents. I also have two sisters. My older sister, Tessa, is 18 and my younger sister, Kaedance, is 8-she has epilepsy. I also have a dog that is a Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix. Her name is Kami. My favorite hobby is arts and crafts. I really love to draw. I have been to Crossways Camp many times. It was a great experience, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! My favorite experience from confirmation was going to the homeless shelter and serving the people. We also bagged lunches to give out I liked this experience because s I felt like I really got to help out a community. I am Brodie Overbeck. I am an 8 th grader at Southern Door Middle School. I love hunting and fishing. I mainly hunt with a compound bow. On days when I am not in the woods, I am working on athletics. I am in football, basketball, baseball and track. I first started coming to Bay View when I was about 8 years old. I really enjoy coming to this church because of the great activities they have to offer for the youth. I have had fun and met knew people in multiple church activities. I have known the people I am in confirmation with since my first day of Sunday School. 6

help raise money. Hi, my name is Alyssa Brendemuehl. I am 14 years old and attend TJ Walker Middle School. I am in the 8 th grade. My younger brother Liam is y5 years old and my sister, Jenna, is 11 years old. I enjoy listening to music, being with friends and track. My favorite experience in confirmation class was when we made soup. Liked this because it was really fun to work together as a group and it was to My name is Madi Volkmann. I am an 8 th grader at Sevastopol School. I have a little sister, Aleah and a dog, Bella. I enjoy volleyball and track. I have had a great few years in Confirmation. And I am sad to see the time slipping by. Through the years, I have created many memories to take away from this journey. One of my favorite memories is Crossways Camp. It was a great way to bond with my youth group and grow closer. Being confirmed means a lot to me. It means I have stated my beliefs in God and am ready to begin my new life with God. My name is Michelle Sternard and I am one of the confirmation mentors for the 8 th grade class. I have been married to Kevin for almost 21 years and we have two kids; Ashley, who is a senior and Hannah who is in the 8 th grade class. I enjoy reading and boating with my family. I feel very blessed to be part of the faith journey of these great kids. They have taught me to listen, to be patient and to laugh! It has been fulfilling to see them grow in their faith and I can t wait to see them in the future serving and being active in our church and community. My name is Sophia McAllister, I'm 14, and I'm in the 8th grade of T.J Walker Middle School. I like drawing cartoons, story writing and the ocean. I dislike spicy things and cold weather. I'm very spontaneous and silly. I to draw with colored pencils. I like gemstones, funs facts, and mythology. How my journey through faith has affected me, is that I found a small group of friends that I have grown a bond with. It has also taught me a lot more about how the world works, and how I fit into the grand scheme of things. And finally, my faith taught me how to be a good person to others. My name is Renee McAllister have lived in Sturgeon Bay for about 19 years. I grew up in Brussels on a farm with three sisters. When I married William McAllister in 1999 I changed from Catholic to Lutheran. During my teenage years the Catholic faith did not make sense to me. Why would the church not forgive my sins but still want me to attend mass and donate. Attending BayView Church I renewed my belief in the church. When my oldest daughter started Sunday School is when I started to participate in service learning. It felt good to share bible stories and how others believed in Gods word. Then when my oldest daughter started confirmation classes I became a mentor. This helped my faith even more by see how everyone struggles with their faith. BayView church ministries and community members have shaped me into a better Christian. 7
