Before joining the Circle of Friends, there were limited Life Group options in our age group at the 9:30 time slot. Our children were attending Sunday School at 9:30, while Heather and I were attending the 9:30 worship without them and an 11:00 am Life Group. We felt like it was important for us to worship as a family. For that reason, we choose the begin attending the Circle of Friends Life Group at 9:30 and the 11:00 am worship as a family. Joining the Circle of Friends has enabled us to establish personal relationships and go deeper than the superficial passing conversations on the way in and out of worship. The class has created a safe forum to be vulnerable, ask questions, and work through the details of what Christ has done in both of our lives. Additionally, several of the men in the class have formed an accountability group that meets during the week for coffee. We discuss life issues and practical ways to further the Kingdom as disciples of Christ. If you attend AUMC and are not a part of a Life Group, consider stepping out of your comfort zone and joining a group. -Brad & Heather Cozart... This Life Group began over a year ago when a small group of couples decided they wanted to make a deeper connection and do life with each other. They are welcoming, fun, active adults in their late 30 s and up (parents of young children and some grandparents) who support each other, grow in their faith together, do missional work together and socialize together. They have open discussions on today s issues and are respectful of each person s ideas and opinions. They do book and video series studies on various topics. They meet once a month after the second service for lunch & have quarterly social gatherings that are child friendly.
Worship J UN E 2 BACK TO THE FUTURE STARTING JULY 2 & 3 Join us this summer for a movie sermon series where we will go back to remember our mission attributes: generosity, authenticity, compassion, discipline, and serving through the lens of our favorite movies so we can move forward to a greater future. WORSHIP WITHOUT WALLS Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Worship Without Walls! We were able to pack over 21,000 meals with Stop Hunger Now, sing and bring communion to our homebound members and senior adult community, take care of properties and landscapes for the Cumberland Children s Home, our Prayer Trail, Keep Argyle Beautiful, and so much more. It was a truly incredible weekend and we are honored to be part of a church community that is committed to transforming the world one life at a time. Missions FUEL UP! JUNE 5 - AUGUST 14 JUNE 3 Summer is UP ministry s busiest season of missions and we are grateful for all of the support and generous donations that enable these missions! As you are reading this, our very own AUMC Youth are hosting a summer camp for the kids we serve in Denton. This camp is so special because it builds a relationship between our youth and these kids. The camp is in its third year and the kids were so excited to see the youth again! Our FuelUP team is also in it s first week of the summer lunch program. We took a leap of faith this year and are serving 2 days now! We know God will provide the manpower and food needed, but if you would like to help, please visit our Facebook page - UP ministry. We need food donations, volunteers, and monetary donations. Fuel UP is our summer lunch program where we make and take lunches to a local park in Denton, distribute to the kids in the area, and play together. It is a fun way to get kids involved in a summer mission. Please see our table in the foyer for a shopping list and how to get involved! argyleumc.org/upministry Summer Giving Going out of town this summer? While warm weather and beaches are calling your name, remember that our mission to share Christ with our community doesn t take a vacation. Summer is one of the most intense seasons of missional ministry at Argyle UMC, and your financial support makes it all possible. So if you won t be here in service, you can keep partnering with us by scheduling your giving. This way, your giving is automated and our ministries stay strong during all seasons of the year. Get all the info at argyleumc.org/give. Thank you so much for your generosity!

This may be the right opportunity for you. We need people to help prepare questions each week for Compass. Compass was started about a year ago and it is a tool we use to continue the conversation after the Sunday morning sermon.
