We can meet at church for 1.30 pm departure. We will have a guided tour on the history of Bentley Priory (which covers the Battle of Britain) at 2 pm. It will last approx 1 hour. We are then free to explore the museum and ask further questions, visit the cafe for refreshments and enjoy the gardens. The cost not including refreshments etc will be 7.00 each. Liz have paid a deposit and will pay the remainder on the day and she will be collecting payments before the date. Please see the transport arrangements in the narthex. Mothers Union Quiet Day Saturday 7th Oct at Emmanuel Northwood - see poster in the porch for details and let Liz know if you are interested in coming. Save the date : Sunday 8th October for our Harvest Celebration. Usual celebration service in church in the morning and then roast dinner, dancing, live music with caller, in the church hall from around 6 pm. Watch this space for further details. Cost @ 10. We will be holding a Celebration weekend - with art exhibition and various special events and guests - in church from the evening of Friday 1 Dec to Sunday 3 December. Confirmation is a time for adults (young - teenagers - and old - and somewhere in between) to affirm their Christian faith for themselves. The bishop will be visiting the parish on Sunday 3 December and there will be an opportunity for baptism, confirmation, or for people from other denominations who have already been confirmed but want to express their commitment to the Anglican church. If anyone is interested in finding out more please contact Natasha or any of the ministry team ASAP, as the preparation sessions will begin soon. Our church toilet is out of action. We have permission from the trustees of the Mandir (temple) across the road to use theirs (before noon). From the church, enter the Mandir gate on Kingsbury Road, go down the steps and turn right. The door is on the right opposite the marble monument, and is marked with a disabled access sign. Through there the toilets are on the right. No need for removal of shoes in this area. If you wish to use the underground car park at the mandir please let Natasha know. Dianna will work from home during the building work but will come in on Thursdays to do copying.
