What a gift of God s mercy the Asbury Revival was for many students, churches and college campuses. What s interesting is that the chapel services went on for 185 hours. God came and transformed lives forever through revival Oh--how we need the Lord to come in a new and fresh way to us, our churches and our nation. Tonight we gather to seek the Lord and His mercy and grace to humble ourselves before Him and pray in one accord toward personal and corporate revival that leads toward a mighty spiritual awakening in our Land. We cannot dictate what or when God moves in revival yet we can obey His call to seek Him with all our hearts that He may be found. Thus--We come tonight to seek the Lord with all of our hearts. The guiding verse for our concerted prayer effort is Acts 3:19 Repent and Return in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. We desperately need the Lord and His manifest holy presence. Let s set our hearts on the Lord and His Word for a few minutes please bow your heads and right in your own prayer closet listen to God s Word and ask Him to focus your heart on Him. Read Daily Light. Then close in Prayer. ProP full screen: Spirit of the Living God
2 7:25 7:45 Chris Schofield--Personal Repentance SET TIMER FOR 8 MINUTES Never before in the History of this nation has there been a greater need for God's people to seek Him with clean hands and a pure heart for revival and spiritual awakening. We have departed from Him in our sin and He is certainly judging and disciplining us as His people. He is calling us as His people to return to Him in godliness and holiness--that He might show himself strong among the nations. Acts 3:19 says Repent --This first season of prayer is toward genuine Biblical repentance. The term repent means to have a heartfelt change of mind. This is accompanied by genuine grief and brokenness over our sin. Revival starts with me. Tonight we begin with a personal time to seek the Lord in repentance. So in your own personal prayer closet pray toward personal repentance as you spend time reflecting on Scripture. Following the reading of Scripture prayer prompts will be on the screens to also help guide you through this time of personal repentance and introspection. A season of refreshing follows a season of genuine repentance and returning to the Lord by His people. Times of refreshing from the Lord take place because of God s renewed manifest presence with and in His people. Also, at the heart of God s refreshing works are His redemptive purposes. When the Lord refreshes His people through revival and spiritual awakening, He is all about renewing His presence among His people and glorifying His name among the nations.
