Praise the Lord everybody. The scripture says, Let everything that has breath praise the lord. Hi, this is Richard from the Power of God Fellowship South and on this week Let Us Think About These Things our topic is WhoSoEver WhoSoEver John 3: 16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. God sent his son into the world, not to condemn it, but to save it that some may believe. For God so loved the world, though he knew what it would cost him. I think the theme of John 3:16 is to show anyone that if they put their trust in Christ, they shall be saved. In Psalms chapter 50, verse 14 15 it says, Offer unto God thanksgiving and pay unto the Most High with our vows and call upon me in the day of trouble and I will deliver thee and thou shall glorify me. He could have said whatever, instead he says, whosoever. But thank God for his love, his mercy and his grace. You know different denominations try to get people to follow them. But the scripture s primary goal is to get the people to follow Christ and nothing else. Anything outside of Christ is a cult or false religion. The whosoever people focus on Christ and not themselves. Jesus made it very clear in the scripture. He talks about the word whosoever over and over and over again in the gospel. Whenever God repeat the same thing over and over it is very important that we understand what he is trying to say.
Those whosoevers, they receive many things from Christ. They receive a personal relationship and a relief from their heavy burdens and their soul will rest forever and they will have truth, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ and their yolk is easy and our burdens will be light. So, let us think about these things. Are you a whatever? Or, are you a whosoever believeth? So let me just say this about whosoever. I think it s the most amazing word in the chapter because it suggest the blessings of God is available to anyone who believes. It is frightening to think that Jesus might just let anyone in, but apparently he will, at least anybody whosoever believeth. The whatevers of this world will perish. There will be complete destruction and total lost. The whosoever will never be lost or gone forever, but have everlasting life. You know God is not out to get us. But he s out to give us grace. So what are you waiting for? He gave his only begotten son for us that we may have eternal life. Christ has always presented the gospel message to everyone and whosoever believeth in him. There are many references to whosoever. In Matthew chapter 10 it says, therefore whoever should confess me before men, him will I confess before the Father, which is in heaven. In Matthew 10: 39 it says, whosoever shall find his life shall lose it. But whosoever loses life for my sake will find it. Mark chapter 3 and 35 says, whosoever should do the will of God, the same as my brother and my sister and mother.
Revelation chapter 22:17 tells us, whosoever is thirsty, let him come and whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. And Tidus, chapter two assures us that for the grace that bringeth salvation it has appeared to all mens. In first Timothy, chapter two says, The Lord is not slack concerning his promises as some men count as slackness, but is long suffering to us. Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So let us think about these things. Jesus says believe in him. So what does it take to believe? First, you must have faith and trust. Hebrews chapter 11:6 say, Without faith it is impossible to please God. And secondly, we must repent. Repentance means to turn away from sins. Matthew 7:17, chapter 4 says from the time Jesus began to preach and to say repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. And second Peter, chapter 3 affirms that it is not God will that any should perish. But remember, once you die without Christ there s no more forgiveness. No more redemption, pardons or parole. There is no more grace or mercy. You are eternally lost. So let us think about these things. When you are a whatsoever, you won t be anxious about what you re going to eat or what you re going to wear, because the whosoevers they know what is required of them.
In Micah chapter 6 verse eight says, He hath showed ye old man what is good and what do the Lord require of us but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God The whosoever is conformed to Christ characters. The whosoever will be not like this wishy washy world. If you are a whatsoever, the bible says that you are unstable in all your ways according to James, chapter one. And it says, Do not expect anything from God. There is three things that last forever when you are a whosoever; God s word, eternity and you. The whosoever is truly more than conquerors through Christ that love us. And whatever battle we are facing in our life, we can give thanks before the fight is over. But we must have faith. Hebrews 11: 6 says again without faith it s impossible, it is impossible to please God. The whosoever are fully persuaded. They placed their trust and their confidence in Christ and they have absolute dependence upon the reliance and the word of God and of Jesus Christ. We have the substance or the conviction of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen. We have for surrendered and obedience to know all truths. Through trust and the faithfulness of God you give yourself over to the newness of life.
When you have access into God grace, we have the fulfillment of his promises, we have the Holy Spirit, we have righteousness, and we have a personal relationship with Christ. We have answer to all prayers, but most importantly we have eternal life. But we must believe. The word believe is a act or process of faith and is the present tense of faith and must be continued into it to reap all its benefits. The only way you can become a whosever is except.. The bible says except a man be born again he can not see the kingdom of God. Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Except you become converted and become his little children you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you in no way have life in you. Except your righteousness should exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharasees you should in no way enter into the kingdom of heaven. The bible says except you abide in me you are cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned. Let me just say this, we have a lot to be thankful for but we must be about our business. As Jesus walked the earth he constantly told us, that I am about my father business and my father business only. He says, The Son can do nothing of himself. He says he does nothing of his own. He seek not the mind of his own will but the will of the Father.
I do nothing of myself. I always do the things that pleases him. He says, I came from God. I do not come from myself. I seek not my own glory. I have not spoken of myself, but what the Father have gave me to speak. Only God can give us selfless love for others. As the Holy Spirit challenge us from within. This is one reason we must receive Christ. Apart from the Holy Spirit we can t be free from the chains of selfishness, jealousies and indifferences. The whosoever will discover his righteous place and his true destiny and that is eternity with God in heaven. The scripture says when Christ came into the world he came bringing nothing but light. And some people was drawn to that light and some were drawn to him because they loved the light. While others ran for cover because they didn t want their evil deeds to be exposed. So think about which one are you? Ask yourself, what do you find the most joy. I don t mean the most pleasure. I mean the most joy. Does it come to you under the cover of darkness? Or, does it come to you in broad daylight? I think this is what John is saying. That what God has given in his son is not something that you have to wait until dark to get. What God has given us in his son, life, light, and love, you can receive these things any time and any place. There is no better time or place than right now. So let us think about these things. If God asks you, can you trust my son with your future? Can you put your life in his hand? If you can, your eternal life will begin right now.
I promise you, because he said, whosoever believeth in him. What else need to be said? End of story. Let us pray. Father we thank you that you gave us your only begotten son that we may have eternal life. And Father we know that there is no greater love than you. And we ask you Father to help us put our trust in you. You said all things are possible for those that believe. And Father help us with our unbelief. And Lord whosoever believeth in you will have eternal life. That is your promise to us. And Father we thank you and we praise you for your only begotten son. And we pray in Jesus name Amen and Amen.
