Scope and Content The Jewish Congregations and Organizations Collection consists of material from several different congregations and organizations in Toledo. The dates span from 1915 to 1957. The collection is arranged alphabetically by the name of the congregation or organization. The major part of the collection consists of material on the Toledo Chapter of. It includes minutes (1927-1930), treasurer s report (1930-1931), correspondence, and printed programs from their activities. Other organizations include B nai B rith, Council of Jewish Women, Jewish Community Center, and the Toledo Federation of Jewish Charities. The folder for Jewish Women s Organizations includes material pertaining to more than one organization. Two congregations, Anshai Sfard and Shomer Emunim, are included. Photocopies of newspaper clippings are included. The majority of the clippings were not dated or identified by newspaper. Loose clippings were grouped by organization. Many of the clippings had been pasted into a scrapbook; thus it was not possible to arrange them in any order.
