The Agenda will be posted on Skoolbag prior to the meeting. This Sunday is Mothers Day. God our Creator, we pray: for new mothers, coming to terms with new responsibility ; for expectant mothers, wondering and waiting; for those... -who are tired, stressed or depressed; -who struggle to balance the tasks of work and family; -who are unable to feed their children due to poverty; -whose children have physical, mental or emotional disabilities; -who raise children on their own; -who have lost a child; -who care for the children of others; -whose children have left home; Bless all mothers, that their love may be deep and tender, and that they may lead their children to know and do what is good. May your loving hand guide them in the special work they do. Amen. Mums, look out for a beautiful Mothers Day card handcrafted by your child (Thanks to the talent and generosity of Suzanne Crowther). May is also the month for honouring Mary the mother of Jesus. We thank God for Mary. She was hand -selected by the God of the universe to bring Jesus, our Savior, into the world and to nurture and care for Him until the day of His death on the cross. She faced many challenges and endured hardship and sorrow. She has held a place of highest honour since those days of the manger in Bethlehem and she is an awesome example to mothers everywhere. We owe our salvation to Mary s decision to love and accept the gift God had given her. We owe our lives to our own mothers for making the same decision. Religions Education Coordinator Mrs. Therese Skelly

The Importance of Problem Solving Skills Critical thinking, problem-solving, reasoning ability and the ability to communicate are essential skills in life. They are also a big part of everyday mathematics. It is important to engage your child in thinking about maths, number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics and probability. Art and maths also have a lot in common. You can see maths in art and art in maths. Patterns, shapes, geometry, symmetry, spatial reasoning are all part of art and maths. Classroom Support Through the integration of maths and art children learn in different ways, intellectually, emotionally and physically. There is maths everywhere! Developing mathematical skills develops problem-solving in your children. Teach your children to love maths by making it part of each day!
