[5] The answer may include the understanding of Surah Zilzal focusing on the life after death. That day earth will shake violently, tremendous convulsion, earth throwing out it s content; such as dead bodies, treasures and all its hidden content. The earth will speak on that Day by Allah s command as witness and will narrate individuals acts. All human beings will be presented with complete record of deeds. 1 mark for each main point. Reference is required and awarded 1 mark. Q.2 According to Anas Ibn Malik, when God s Messenger (s.a.w) said, Help your brother, irrespective of whether he is the oppressor or oppressed, A man asked, O Messenger of Allah, I can help the oppressed but how can I help the oppressor? The Prophet (s.a.w) replied; stop him from committing an act of oppression. That in itself is a form of help. In the light of the Hadith you have studied, explain how Muslims can help out their Muslim brothers in case of oppression. [5] Muslims should live peacefully as this message was widely spread by Prophet (S.A.W). It s a duty of Muslim to have good relations with their Muslim brothers. We should guide the oppressor to the right path, stop him, and educate him about the Day of Judgement and the consequences of bad deeds. [7] The answer should include that Hazrat Ayesha was the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr, the closet companion of The Holy Prophet. Hazrat Ayesha was married to The Holy Prophet ten years after the revelation. Her apartment was chosen as the final resting place of The Holy Prophet. Hazrat Ayesha spent her life as a widow preaching and spreading the message of Allah and Sunnah. Hazrat Ayesha is ranked among the prominent companions of the Holy Prophet. She used to give decisions on religious matters during the Caliphate of the first three Caliphs. Hazrat Ayesha excelled in knowledge over all the wives and companions of the Holy Prophet. The answer includes the reason to recite istikhara, e.g. Allah has the power and knowledge of everything, when ever Muslim is confused which option to choose in life must seek guidance from Allah. It should be a part of important decision that we make in life. How to offer: should offer two raka at prayer other than the compulsory ones and say after prayer Dua-e-Istikhara. Q4a. Why Miserliness and Extravagance is forbidden in Islam? Explain in the light of Quran and Hadith. [7] The answer should include, Muslims are justly balanced people and therefore, they have to live a life of moderation. It is commanded in the Holy Quran as well as by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w), that in the matters of expenditure, people neither be extravagant nor miserly. Extravagance and waste, on the one hand and miserliness on the other are both forbidden. Students should write 3-4 points stated above. 3 marks. Students should write Quranic teaching for extravagance and miserliness 1 mark each for it. 1mark for Quranic verse: Make not thy hand tied to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach.. (17;29) 1 mark for Hadith: Two things do not fit in a faithful person, miserliness and bad temper. Q4b. State the importance of rights of sick. [3] Answer may vary but should demonstrate understanding of importance of rights of sick. A visit from us may cheer up a sick relative or friend. The Prophet (S.A.W) used to visit sick and comfort them. In Islam visiting the sick to enquire about their health and looking after them is considered to be a form of worship. About visiting the sick, the Prophet (S.A.W) said: when a Muslim becomes ill, visit him and enquire about his health. When you hear that someone is sick, you should go and visit him. Wish the patient a quick recovery and try to cheer him up. Keep the visit as brief as possible. Q.5a Explain the main features of the solar system in the light of Quran. Q5b. Briefly describe the importance of heart and soul. [3] The purification of the heart and soul with constant remembrance of Allah is essential to the religion of Islam. The command to purify our hearts from sin was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early revelation. About the Day of Judgement, Allah said: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to Allah with a pure heart. (26:88-89). We learn from this that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our heats in this life.
