We hope it will bring many healing graces to our community. You are invited to venerate over 150 relics, some as old as 2000 years. Among the treasures will be relics of St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower"), St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Faustina Kowalska, St. John Paul, St. Teresa of Calcutta, Bl. Pier Giorgio, Ven. Fr. Michael McGivney and others. In addition, a portion of the veil of Our Lady will be present, as well as one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross in the world. In the Church s history many miracles and healings have been worked in the presence of relics, and many have been healed through this ministry. You are encouraged to bring your articles of devotion (such as rosaries, holy cards, etc.) and pictures of ill friends/family members which you will be able to touch to the reliquaries as a means of intercession.

FEBRUARY 12, 2017 ST. COLUMBANUS CHURCH_ #481/PAGE 4 DISCERNMENT WEEKENDS AT GRAYMOOR How is God calling you? The Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement are offering quarterly Discernment Weekends to help you discover the answer. The 2017 dates are as follows: February 17-20, March 16-19, October 19-22, and November 30- December 3. The weekends are for single, Catholic young adult men and women, 18-40, considering God s call to servanthood, whether that is as a priest, sister, brother, or lay person. Learn discernment tools, hear how religiously vowed and lay persons came to hear God s call, and engage in rich prayer and discussion with other young adults. For more information or to register, call 845-424-2122 or visit www.atonementfriars.org/discern. ROSARIES NEEDED Currently there is a woman who volunteers for Birthright who not only actively distributes coats, hats, and gloves to those fellows you see standing out in the cold hoping for work, but she also hands out rosaries to them. If there is anyone in the church who would be willing to either make or donate rosaries to her, that would be a great way to participate in evangelization. Coats, hats, and gloves are also needed. Please call Susan Goderre, Advocate for Those With a Need for specific details at 914-261-6842. BE IN-FORMED We hope you are enjoying the free parish subscription to www.formed.org which gives you access to quality Catholic on-line programs, movies, audio, and books. Simply register with St. Columbanus code TBN82M and enjoy.
