Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Exodus 12:31 During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested. 32 Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me. 33 The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. For otherwise, they said, we will all die! 35 The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. 36 The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians. 2
Proverbs 21:1 The king s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes. Mercy Me Even IF But what will I say When I'm held to the flame Like I am right now I know You're able and I know You can Save through the fire with Your mighty hand But even if You don't My hope is You alone I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt Would all go away if You'd just say the word But even if You don't My hope is You alone Kent Crockets: How does the Lord guide you to the appointed places without your knowledge about it? Sometimes He will drop and idea into your mind that you fail to recognize is coming from Him. It seems to be your own thought. You decide to go to a particular place, never realizing that He is leading you there. His guidance is so natural you are completely oblivious to the fact that God is directing your steps The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps Prov 16:9 As you start taking those steps He watches over you from heaven and orchestrates circumstances so that you will arrive at the correct destination at the right time. Acts 7:23 But when he was approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his brethren, the sons of Israel. John 7:30 At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come. 3
Deuteronomy 3:22 Do not fear them, for the LORD your God is the one fighting for you. Deuteronomy 2:25 This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples everywhere under the heavens, who, when they hear the report of you, will tremble and be in anguish because of you. Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Psalm 33:10 11 10 The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Daniel 4:17 17 so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men. Daniel 2 21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Psalm 2:2 4 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 4
Kara Tippetts, an author, mother of four and co-worker with her pastor husband Jason, went home to Jesus on March 22, 2015, after a long battle with breast cancer. As the cancer spread, Kara courageously embraced her situation, trusting in a Sovereign God. She believed that cancer was not the point, but Jesus was. As Kara and her family processed what God was calling them to live out, she invited her community to join her journey through this seemingly impossible ordeal how would she trust God in the midst of sickness? And then, how would she trust God in the midst of dying? In the fall of 2014, David C. Cook published her story, The Hardest Peace. She refused to be defined by cancer and considered every moment a gift and an opportunity to learn more about grace and trusting God; she believed suffering was not an absence of beauty, but an opportunity to understand God's love on a deeper level. 5
John 19:10 11 10 So Pilate said to Him, You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You? 11 Jesus answered, You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin. Matthew 26:50 54 50 Jesus replied, Friend, do what you came for. Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51 With that, one of Jesus companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 52 Put your sword back in its place, Jesus said to him, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way? 6
