We will meet at the intersection of Bryn Mawr and Catalpa by 9:15 am. The step off is at 9:30 am. Please wear Saint Luke apparel, or a red, white, & blue shirt! BIBLE STUDIES MEN S BIBLE STUDY Gospel of Luke Saturdays at 8:30 AM Holiday Inn (860 W Irving Park Rd, Itasca, IL 60143) The Men s Bible Study on Saturday mornings is studying the Gospel of Luke. The Gospel of Luke is the longest book in the New Testament and the most comprehensive of the four Gospels. It presents the works and teachings of Jesus that are especially important for understanding the way of salvation. Its scope is complete from the birth of Christ to his ascension, its arrangement is orderly, and it appeals to both Jews and Gentiles. Please come join us as we examine the major themes and teachings found in this fascinating book. EXODUS: The Story of Moses and the Founding of Gold's Holy Nation The Old Testament continues the story of the Patriarchs in the book of Exodus. The descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob fall into enslavement in Egypt, but God uses Moses to lead them out of slavery into the Promised Land. This account, called the Exodus, is told in Scripture by way of a biography of Moses, the giving of the Law and the Ten Commandments. This classic account has served Western Civilization as the model for people seeking freedom ever since. Indeed, the founding Fathers of our nation seriously considered putting an image of Moses on the Great Seal of the United States. We will study this classic book one chapter each Sunday, thus you can come and go as your schedule permits. ADULT BIBLE STUDY Sundays at 9:30 AM Instructors: Michael and Allison Carr 242 (two four two) is a new Sunday morning Bible Study opportunity during Education Hour. Facilitated by Michael and Allison Carr, the name is derived from Acts 2:42, And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Our hope with 242 is to bring people together who may have not previously been a part of our Education Hour to gather around the Word of God, share life together, and pray for each other. 242 meets in Room 109 at 9:30 AM, but those who wish to fellowship before that time are encouraged to do so! We will start by looking at the book of James, with commentary by Francis Chan. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Allison Carr at acarr@saintlukeitasca.org SENIOR HIGH BIBLE STUDY Sundays at 9:30 AM Instructor: Patti Andrzejczak Join us in the youth room each Sunday at 9:30 AM as we build a more sincere and awesome relationship with God.
