Home Mission Sunday 17 th September 2017 Home Mission Sunday is an opportunity to inspire the faithful and help them engage with the mission of the Church, to evangelise, whilst supporting the work of the Home Mission Office in a practical way. Marcia is running again! I am running the 2017 Royal Parks half marathon for the Catholic Children s Society (Plymouth Diocese) on 7 October this year. You may remember I ran the Rome marathon for the Society a couple of years ago, and thanks to your extremely generous support was able to give a significant donation to the Society s work. Ministering the Word of God There will be a readers meeting on Tuesday 19 th September at 7.45 pm after evening Mass. We will discuss the ministry of reading and practical guidance for ministers at Mass. Parishioners who would like to become Ministers of the Word are also welcome. Youth Rally This year s Youth Rally will take place on Sunday 1 st October at St Rita s Centre in Honiton. It s a Knockout, Tug of War, Netball, Football, Bouncy Castle, Gladiators, Bungee Run. See Notice Board for details Blessing of the Boats Thank you to everyone who supported the CWL raising funds for the Apostleship of the Sea on Saturday last week, at the Harbour Festival in Teignmouth. We raised 75, but more importantly perhaps, we raised awareness of the work of the AoS in Teignmouth and world-wide. We hope this donation may be used towards providing wi-fi in the Port Room.
