LEADER S GUIDE Lesson Overview Today, we re going to talk about another message Jude had for the people. Not only did he want to warn people not to believe lies about Jesus, he also wanted them to know how they could be protected from those lies. It s how we re protected today. Did you know that God gives us special gear to protect us from believing things that aren t true? He does! The Bible calls it the armor of God. It s like a special super suit! God s armor protects us from lies and other things that don t honor him. He gives us things like a helmet to protect our thoughts, a shield that helps us to fight off attacks from someone s mean words. And, he gives us the Sword of truth, which is the Bible, to help us identify a lie when we hear it so we can stab it and throw it in the garbage! Big Idea God wants to keep us safe from lies. Key Question How does God protect us? Memory Verse Jude 1:1 NIRV You are loved by God the Father. You are kept safe for Jesus Christ. Classroom Agenda 1.
