Your continued support is what makes things happen at our church. Praise the Lord for each of you. This is the last offering of 2016 so please turn it in today or have your donation postmarked before midnight. 2. CHRISTMAS OFFERING: is going toward Evangelism. We have an Evangelistic Outreach Program that is planned for February. Our goal for our Christmas Offering is at least $10,000. We hope you will support Evangelism with your Christmas Offering by putting it in a tithe envelope and mark it Christmas Offering or send it to the office. We will be collecting this offering until Dec. 31. 3. OUTREACH COMMITTEE Members of the Outreach Committee will meet Thursday, January 5 at 7:00 in the Pastor's office to finalize plans for February's evangelistic series and the church leaders meeting that will be held January 28. 10. FREE BOOKS: The closet with books for you to take home will be open in the foyer on the first Sabbath of the month. These are books that have been donated to the church. Stop by and take what you will read. 11. FELLOWSHIP BUFFET: next Sabbath. Bring either hot or cold dishes. Please bring enough for your family and friends. 12. ELDER CARE MUSIC MINISTRY: next Sabbath at 3:00 pm at "Cedar Mountain" facility (formerly Braswell's Hampton Manor) on 4th. Street (behind Stater Brothers). 13. SABBATH EVENING VESPERS NEXT WEEK at 3:55 pm will be the study of the Book of Hebrews with Gary Strunk preceded by a special musical program 15 minutes before the meeting begins. Come early and get your seat and enjoy the music. UPCOMING EVENTS Dig out Your Best Recipes February will be a busy month for our cooks. We will be hosting guests who attend our evangelistic series and will be expanding our fellowship dinners to include EVERY SABBATH in February, 2017. It will be a wonderful time to make new friends and show them Adventist hospitality. It will also be an opportunity to share our favorite gourmet recipes and enjoy plenty of food supplied by all who attend. Get ready to bring a vegetarian or vegan entrée, salad, fruit/vegetable plate, or dessert. PLEASE BRING ENOUGH for yourself and our visitors. We will, again, be going to the Pageant of our Lord - Living Art Experience in Rolling Hills Estates. Renowned works of religious art are depicted in a real life setting by people it is simply stunning and unbelievable. A full orchestra and choir will also play and sing. The date is Sunday, April 9, at 3:00. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for kids 6-12. Please have your money in to the office by January 7. The bus will be available for 10 people and will leave the church at 12:30. Note to the whole church.the seniors are sponsoring this event, but would like to open it up to anyone in the church who would like to join us for a wonderful, memorable experience. MISSING ROCKET: Over 35 years ago I served as a Pathfinder Instructor for model rocketry and built a rocket glider. It was launched once. Last November I donated all my rocket materials to the Pathfinders except the glider. I planned to give it as a prize to an outstanding club member. But it disappeared from a secured location in the church. If anyone knows about its disappearance please return it to its secure location or to the church office. 15. PERSONAL MINISTRIES: This is the fund that pays for the books and Glow Tracts in the foyer for members to pass out. The funds for this account have almost been depleted. Please consider this offering when you make your monthly donations, especially if you share this literature with your friends and those you meet. We would like to know how you are using this literature and which literature is most important to keep in stock. Please tell Dorothy Womack about your experiences. 16. SABBATH SCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR CHILDREN: Beginning January 7, 2017, Sabbath School leaders will register their students. The completed forms will help the church to provide a safer and healthier place for your children. We will ask that parents and guardians identify food allergies and preferred ways to address health issues. Please take a few minutes to complete a registration for each child the first Sabbath of the New Year. Thank you so much!! 17. The potluck will be at noon in the Fellowship Hall of the Calimesa Church. Please join us and bring your favorite choice of an entrée, vegetable, salad, or dessert.
