DIRECTORY - PLACES OF WORSHIP The following reflects a list of places of worship within a reasonable driving distance from the institution. This list is not meant to be exhaustive and any exclusion is unintentional. Religious Clubs Currently Offered by SGA Clubs at Rowan University: Chabad at Rowan: An organization that is committed to giving meaning, share joy and add spirituality to the every day. Their vision is to teach these values in a warm and nurturing environment where people can grow together, enjoying life and Judaism simultaneously. Chi Alpha: A Christian outreach organization that focuses on helping people to connect to God and each other. The Rowan chapter of Chi Alpha was founded in 1998. Although our name is Greek, we are not a fraternity or sorority. Chi (Greek letter X ) and Alpha (Greek letter A ) are the initials that abbreviate a phrase written by the Apostle Paul in the Bible. The phrase means, Christ s sent ones. It serves as a reminder to us that as followers of Christ, our life should reflect Jesus. Hillel: An organization that focuses on the Jewish culture and religion. Muslim Student Association: Muslim Students Association (M.S.A.) is an organization devoted to strengthening the Muslim community through service and activism, educating both Muslims and people of other faiths about the religion of Islam, and facilitating a better environment. New Life Ministry: An organization that focuses on spiritual teachings and physical values. Organization facilitates worship, song and dance, community outreach, and prayer. Members are also involved in gospel choir and praise ministry. Catholic Campus Ministry: Catholic organization that strives to provide educational and social events to all students. Masses are held on Sundays and free home cooked meals are given weekly. Rowan Cru: Rowan Cru is a Christian organization that exists to create an environment of fellowship and worship while growing through the Word. Our purpose is to reach the campus of Rowan University for Christ through personal evangelism and caring outreach. If you would like to create your own SGA club (religious or non-religious), go to the SGA office in the student center and ask for a New Club Regulation Packet.
