This is what some people have said about Suzanne s classes: Suzanne offers a variety of asanas to satisfy beginning through advanced yoga students, and during the practice enriches the session with soothing poetry and informative explanations... stimulates both mind and body I have a great deal of physical pain due to herniated disks and fibromyalgia--this helped tremendously. I found a way to free my mind of problems for a little while. Just wanted to thank you yet once again on what was a wonderful session last night. Your skillful treatment and the caring guided postures have released and relieved me a lot, and I felt so much better already last night and all throughout the day today. Haven't felt like this for 3 weeks. I have found her to be the utmost professional yoga instructor--caring, knowledgeable, dedicated, punctual and engaged. Her demeanor is calm and thorough... She offers variations on poses for those who are beginner, intermediate, or advanced. She values quality over quantity in terms of postures. My boyfriend, who has the build of a football player and the flexibility of a brick, attended two of Suzanne's classes with me and commented on what a great instructor she was. That she can make him enjoy yoga is a testament to her as a teacher.
THE RETREAT TERZO DI DANCIANO is an ancient fraction [literally a third ] in the beautiful Pierle Valley in the Cortona area. It sits in a commanding position amidst unspoiled countryside on the borders of Umbria and Tuscany, the perfect place to spend a totally relaxing holiday in the heart of this evocative landscape. Every room is in a restored ancient country house from the 1700's and has a lovely view. A large lawn, a white mulberry bush, marine pine trees, pomegranates, olives, cherries and figs, plums, sage, lavender and laurel, lots of green space and a magnificent view await you here. The swimming pool has been placed in a perfect position where it gets the sun until late evening. The pool is kept clean using echo-friendly methods, not chlorine, so having a dip is a reviving experience! The bachificio, the agricultural annex adjacent to the villa is a large building constructed in the 1800's. At that time in this area the manufacture of silk flourished, and the building was the place where the silk worms were bred. The bachificio is a true jewel of rural archaeology, an imposing structure with architectural characteristics of great fascination, as evidenced by the loving and knowledgeable restoration completed fairly recently by the current owners. The transformation is complete, from agricultural building to a versatile space for an enormous amount of creative endeavors. It is suitable for theatre groups, both cinema locations and workshops, art, photography and dance workshops, art shows, fashion shows and musical events. Some of these events might take place while you are there. There are two floors. On the ground floor you find the Stanza Azzurra, or the Blue Room, which flows in an open plan into the Sala delle Volte, a room topped with wonderful old vaulted ceilings and upstairs, on the first floor, you ll find the Rural Theatre.
