BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Henry Clay Daniel was a lawyer from Missouri. After Congress passed the Bowman and Tucker Acts, he began handling Civil War claims for allowance. In it, Daniel recounts his schooling, his legal apprenticeship, his appointments, his predictions, and a description of the times. f. 37 A booklet published by the government printing office in 1907 relating to the Rules of the Court of Claims and the rules of the United States Supreme Court. f. 38 Information pertaining to various Civil War claims. Included in this folder: a bound volume containing claim data, a copy of H.R. 8846 of the 63 rd Congress and a notebook giving the status of certain claims. f. 39 Information pertaining to rents and miscellaneous claims. In the back, there is a copy of Resolution #197 (60 th Congress) from the Committee on Claims in the United States Senate. f. 40 An account book listing real estate agreements and various Civil War claims. f. 41 Information pertaining to various claims. On the last page there was a list of those who were in the 2 nd Battalion Cavalry Missouri State Militia, 1862-1863. f. 42 This contains the October 29, 1915 issue of the Washington Law Reporter, a weekly newspaper of legal information. f. 43 Miscellaneous envelopes.
