LOOKING AHEAD Lent Faith Formation Program Father Paul is looking to offer a series during Lent on a particular Biblical theme to explore and learn together. He is thinking of offering it on Thursday afternoon but needs your feedback as to what day and time best suits you if you are interested in attending. Induction Service Sunday, March 4, 4 pm. We welcome clergy from the region, and guests from St. Hilary s, Mississauga, as we come together with Archdeacon Peter Scott to celebrate the Induction of our new Rector. There will be a reception to follow at the Elora Community Centre. NEWS FOR THE PEWS Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper On February 13 th the parish will host a pancake supper. Mark the end of Epiphany and the beginning of Lent with a delicious stack of pancakes, sausages, maple syrup and dessert! Shrove Tuesday (Feb.13 th ) Thompson Hall (church basement) Serving 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. $8.00 per person or $20.00 for a family of four, payable at the door. St. John's Women's Dinner Wednesday, February 21 st. Our wintertime Spaghetti Dinner and Sundae Buffet is back! This evening we welcome Jeff Neely, a retired commercial airline pilot who will share many of his entertaining Tales from the Cockpit recollections of That Really Happened!!! Fellowship begins at 6:00 pm, dinner served at 6:30 pm cost is $15/person. Gluten free pasta option available. New friends and parishioners are all welcome.
