Picture This Evangelism What Evangelism is? What Evangelism is NOT?
Does God expect ME to do Evangelism? For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16 NKJV) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19 20 NKJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (Romans 1:16 NKJV)
Know Who You Are In Christ Salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13) Light of the world (Matthew 5:14) The righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (1 Peter 2:24) Minister of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:17-21) Chosen and appointed by God (John 15:16) An ambassador for Christ (2 Cor 5:20) Empowered Disciple = ED (NPBC)
Types of Evangelism Crusade Evangelism Pulpit Evangelism Personal Evangelism
Personal Evangelism Methods To Name A Few Evangelism Explosion- asking diagnostic questions & then explaining the Gospel in terms of grace, man, God, Christ & faith Permission Evangelism- gaining permission from the listener & using testimony based presentations of the Good News Friendship Evangelism- becoming friends with unbelievers, establishing a relationship before attempting to address their need for a Savior Intellectual Evangelism- using logic, e.g. 4 Spiritual Laws The Way of The Master Evangelism- stresses the use of God s moral law as seen in the 10 Commandments to show people their sin and their need for a savior. Cardboard Testimony Spend a minute to reflect on an areas of your life that God transformed BEFORE a challenge that you had, the person that you used to be, negative thought(s) that you had, etc. Write it on one side of the cardboard The Changed Life What did God do? AFTER Who are you now? Write it on the other side of the cardboard

Reasons To Write Your Testimony You have a plan- You can say exactly what you plan to say (does not need to be memorized) Helps to keep you on track

Ways To Share the Gospel The ABC s of Salvation Admit that you are a sinner Believe on Christ Confess your faith The Bridge to Eternal Life Spiritual death or separation from God because of sin Sin has separated us from God Dross of Jesus is the bridge for sinners to reconcile to God Four things God wants you to know Your need as God sees it Your own helplessness God s provision for your need God s promise to meet your need The Roman Road to Salvation Man s need Sin s penalty God s Provision Man s response
A Plan of Action Process 1. Make the connection 2. Transition the conversation to God 3. Determine the soul status 4. Meet the spiritual need.
A Plan of Action For the Unsaved. 4P Method of Sharing the Gospel Adapted from the Roman Road 1. Problem (Romans 3:23), 2. Penalty (Romans 6:23a), 3. Provision (Romans 5:8) 4. Promise (Roman 10:9-10)
A Plan of Action Decision Asking For A Now That You Know the PROBLEM is SIN the PENALTY is DEATH the PROVISION is the CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST THE PROMISE IS ETERNAL LIFE Are you ready to make a decision TODAY to accept Jesus as Lord of your life?
SAMPLE SINNER S PRAYER Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and I need Jesus in my life. I turn from my sins and turn to You. I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that he died on the cross for my sins; He was buried and He rose from the dead. I accept this by faith. I invite Jesus to be the Lord of my life, to reign and rule in my heart. Thank You Lord for forgiving me and saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
4-P Method Problem = Sin (Romans 3:23) Penalty = Death (Romans 6:23a) Provision = Cross of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8) Promise = Eternal Life (Romans 10:9-10)
4-P Method Problem- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) Penalty- For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23a) Provision- But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) Promise- that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10)
