P A G E 2 Pastor Tommy Senior Pastor People ask: Pastor, how can I pray for you and Lynn? Occasionally, while meditating on the Psalms, the Holy Spirit will prompt me with verses that I need people to pray for us. Last week I read Psalms 62:5-8: Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. May salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. Please pray that Lynn and I would continue to find rest in God amidst all the change and transition occurring in our lives. We re so thankful for our Wrightsboro Baptist Family and your prayer support! Agape, Pastor Tommy NEW CHURCH KEY POLICY From the Security Evaluation Team ALL locks will be changed on ALL exterior doors soon. If you are in need of a key, you MUST FILL OUT A Church Key Request form and submit it. The Evaluation Team will then review your application. P A G E 3 It s Planting Time If you haven't already started, it s time to prepare your soil for a new planting season. There is nothing like fresh harvested vegetables you have grown yourself. Spiritually, God has called and gifted each of us to be busy planting, watering and sharing the seed of God s Word. But as 1 Corinthians 3:7 says, It is God who makes things grow. Some seeds fall on hard ground, some on shallow rocky soil and still others will land among thorns and be choked out. The good news is that as we continue to be obedient and faithful in planting the seed of God s Living, Life Changing Word, we will be rewarded by God for our labor and others will accept and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What a Harvest time that is going to be! Be Blessed; Pastor Mike
P A G E 4 Minister of Students We are excited to have our new GaGa Ball Pit in the back. It is a great way to get rid of some excess energy on Wednesday Nights. However, the adults who play are requesting a portable oxygen tank to revive us at the end of each game! Our studies on Wednesday Nights are on the WBC channel on the Right Now Media page. The young ladies are working through the study Girls Gone Wise and the young men are exploring Proverbs and Act Like Men. Both studies are providing crucial teaching for our young people. Parents, this is where your children need to be on Wednesday Nights! P A G E 5 I can t sing! I can t teach. I can t Have you said that when asked to sing in the choir or serve in the church? We feel inadequate. Someone else is more talented! In the Bible, God used ordinary people to accomplish great things for His plan! Abraham laughed when God revealed to him His plan. Moses had many excuses and pleaded with God to find someone else. David was an ordinary shepherd boy. God isn't interested in what we can do FOR HIM. He wants to show us what HE can do THROUGH US! It s not about us or our abilities. It s all about God His plan His power. What about you? Could God use you in the choir? Summer is a great time to sing in the Choir! Come give it a try and see how God might use you! We meet on Wednesday nights in the Sanctuary at 6:15pm. Peggy Fall Trip to Pennsylvania & Washington D.C. October 24th thru October 27th 2018 With Christian Tours If interested call Kay West at 232-2559 or Mike Lewis at 763-3181.
