THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST Christians are baptized into paschal mystery Christ s death and resurrection for forgiveness sin and fullness salvation. This mystery is celebrated at every Mass, remembering Christ s loving deed and giving thanks and praise to God. By this action Sacrifice Cross is continuously made present in Church (GIRM, no. 72). Presentation and Preparation Gifts Gifts are collected for poor and for Church. Bread and ine are brought to altar table, and everything is prepared for celebration. The Scrutinies (Third, Fourth and Fifth Sundays Lent) I. INVITATION TO SILENT PRAYER Folloing Liturgy Word and homily, elect come forard ith ir godparents. The celebrant invites assembly to pray in silence and to ask that elect be given a spirit repentance, a sense sin, and true freedom children God. He n invites elect to also pray in silence, suggesting that as a sign ir inner spirit repentance y bo ir heads or kneel. II.
