H A M Z A BIN LADEN HOW IRAN IS TRYING T O R E V I V E A L - Q A E DA
Introduction On May 9th, 2016, the world was shocked by a voicemail released by Osama Bin Laden s 11th son, Hamza, titled Jerusalem is but a bride, and her dowry is blood. In this voicemail, he tried to revive his father s legacy as the sole hope for Muslims and their different causes, chief of which is the Palestinian conflict. The voicemail was released in tandem with a message from current Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri. Both messages were produced and edited by the Al-Qaeda media arm called Al Sahab. In addition, both messages signal an attempt to further bolster Al-Qaeda's terror efforts, bringing back memories of the September 11 attacks, the worst attack on US soil that left thousands dead and even more injured, as well as other Al-Qaeda terror attacks around the world. Al-Qaeda observers believe the new message released by Hamza Bin Laden signals the continuation of Iranian sponsorship of Bin Laden s son, which started after the tragic events of 9 / 11. Blatantly defying world powers, Tehran hosted Hamza Bin Laden and provided him with necessary security, according to many intelligence agencies across the world. On March 16th, before the release of the voicemail, American intelligence declassified 113 hand written messages by Osama Bin Laden. These included instructions on how Al-Qaeda should deal with the Islamic Republic. Bin Laden states that Iran is the chief pathway for our money, men, communiqué, and hostages. Bin Laden also urged his men not to start a front against Iran. This confirms the strong and warming ties between Al- Qaeda and the Islamic Republic of Iran. 1 2

Hamza s main messages while staying in Iran: - Hamza and his family spent roughly 10 years in Iran between 2001-2011. - Hamza released several voice mails, as well as some videos in varying time periods. - After the family moved out of Iran, the amount of messages released from Hamza decreased but nonetheless continued. - Reportedly, Osama Bin Laden was not pleased about involving his son in Al-Qaeda operations or Battles, constantly calling for his sponsors to his then 11 year old son to avoid involving him in armed training after leaving Afghanistan. - Osama Bin Laden wanted to focus on his son s education and managerial/ideological training. - Osama Bin Laden sent envoys on his behalf to make sure his son focuses on education and avoid military style training. - Although his father disapproved, Hamza insisted on taking part in armed battles. - In a message sent to his father Osama after his mother arrived to her husband s residence, Hamza states the following: if circumstances allowed me to join you, I would, it is my deepest desire to serve my religion. Iran s relationship with Osama Bin Laden: - Intelligence documents revealed that a meeting took place between Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Imad Moghneyeh, and Iranian officials in Khartoum, Sudan, in 1992. - The meeting revolved around finding an alliance between the terror groups and coordinating global terrorist efforts. - After Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda settled in Sudan, Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood leader Hassan Al-Turabi called for coordinating efforts between Sunni and Shia groups that oppose the United States and the west (including the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah ) where leaders approved (including Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri as well as Iranian officials) joint coordination. Although Iran / Hezbollah are Shia, and Al-Qaeda is Sunni, relations between Al-Qaeda and Iran reveal the sectarian divide does not stand in the way of logistical cooperation. For example; Al-Qaeda Bazron agents frequently travel to Iran to receive training on explosives. - In a 1993 meeting, Iran, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda agreed to cooperate on a series of trainings in the area of communications. Operations continued between the three parties. - Osama Bin Laden sent his agents including Al-Qaeda s number 3 man (Saif Al-Adel) to training camps set up by Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Lebanon and Iran, overseen by Hezbollah s Imad Mogneiyah. - On October 18th, 2007, American intelligence revealed a letter sent by Bin Laden to a man named Karem from his residence in Abot Abbad, Pakistan. 5
- The letter included stern objection from Bin Laden on threatening Iran and Hezbollah - Bin Laden says in the letter: As you are aware, Iran is the chief pathway for our money, men, communiqué, and hostages. - Several years later, Bin Laden s son Saad, his wife and sister Khadeeja left Iran and were killed in an airstrike in Afghanistan. Bin Laden requested another letter to be sent to (as he describes) reasonable figures within the Iranian administration. - In 2010, news came out that Iran was indeed hosting Bin Laden s family in a high end residency complex in Tehran, including: * Iman Osama Bin Laden * Saad Osama Bin Laden * Othman Osama Bin Laden * Fatima Osama Bin Laden * Hamza Osama Bin Laden * Baker Osama Bin Laden * Kahyriya Saber (mother of Hamza, wife of Osama Bin Laden) * And at least 30 more Bin Laden relatives. Bin Laden says in the letter: As you are aware, Iran is the chief pathway for our money, men, communiqué, and hostages - Although Iran / Hezbollah are Shia, and Al-Qaeda is Sunni, relations between Al-Qaeda and Iran reveal the sectarian divide does not stand in the way of logistical cooperation. For example; Al-Qaeda Bazron agents frequently travel to Iran to receive training on explosives. - On April, 2011 (a month before Bin Laden was killed), American intelligence picked up a letter sent by Bin Laden to an Al-Qaeda member named Mahmud (thought to be the Libyan Ayatollah whose real name is Jamal Shetaiwi, one of the main mediators between the Iranians and Bin Laden). - The letter discussed efforts to secure Hamza s exit from Iran to Pakistan in order to meet his father. - According to the letters from Bin Laden to Mahmud, the latter was put in charge of Hamza s wellbeing. - Mahmud asked Osama Bin Laden s permission to militarily train his son Hamza in order for him to join the battlefield, in a letter sent in November 2010. - In a letter sent out by Bin Laden to his wife before he was killed, Bin Laden talks about the orders that were sent to the brothers on securing Hamza s exit from Waziristan along with the previous message. Bin Laden goes on to say: we are waiting for his arrival according to the arrangements that were planned for Thursday or Friday of every week, the brothers preferred Hamza travels on these days due to the lack of curfews. The brothers also prefer that he does not exit the area until he secures a Pakistani ID card; however I asked them to not delay his travels because of the ID card, and insisted on prioritizing his safety in finding another way. We called the brother that delivers the messages from them in order to oversee the traveling process, he told us they did not arrive yet, but he promised they will on 2 / 1. The brother from our side was sick and not able to deliver them, but he will do so today god willing, I will look over them and brief you about what the brothers news about Hamza are, may god nurture and protect him and unite us with him soon. 3 6 6
American Judicial indictments of Iranian-Al-Qaeda relations: - On March 2016, New York Southern Federal District Court indicted Iran and ordered it to pay billions of dollars to the families of 9 / 11 victims as well as insurance companies. - Judge Daniels stated in his ruling, The Islamic Republic of Iran provided material support or resources to Al-Qaeda generally. Such material support or resources took the form of, inter alia, planning, funding, facilitation of the hijackers travel and training, and logistics, and included the provision of services, money, lodging, training, expert advice or assistance, safe houses, false documentation or identification, and/or transportation. - Imad Mughniyeh, a prominent Hezbollah operative later assassinated by Israel in 2008, visited the perpetrators of the September 11 attacks in October 2000 and facilitated their travel to the United States via Iran. - The Tehran regime saw to it that the hijackers passports were not stamped in transit. In addition to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Imad Mughniyeh, the judgment also finds former Iranian intelligence Ali Fallahian and Brigadier General Mohammed Baqir Dhu ll-qader, deputy commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). - Court documents assert that the Iranian government, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda formally declared an alliance in Khartoum in 1993, and Bin Laden and his cohorts subsequently received training and other assistance from Iran, which enabled Al-Qaeda to implement a series of terror attacks prior to September 11. - In addition to Iranian leadership figures and the state itself, the judgment also names the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, the IRGC, and its special operations division, the Quds Force. 4 - On July 20th, 2016, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned three members of Al-Qaeda currently located in Iran. These include Abu Bakr Muhammad Muhammad Ghumayn, who assumed control of the financing and organization of al-qaida members located in Iran since 2015. 5 7
Osama Bin Laden s views on the Islamic Republic of Iran: The 113 hand written letters from Osama Bin Laden that were declassified on March 2016 reveal a special, cooperative relationship between the Al Qaeda leader and Tehran. Bin Laden refuses any threats issued by his men to Iran: A hand-written letter by Osama Bin Laden, in which he states Iran's willingness to provide material support to Al-Qaeda - I don t know why you have threatened Iran, my opinion is against this, I argue against it publicly, it is a political loss for you to do so - Iran is the chief pathway for our money, men, communiqué, and hostages - There is no need to open a front against Iran, my opinion is that this should be put off until our state is strong, and focus instead on fighting the crusaders and the apostates - Tehran will slaughter the Gulf States like a sheep on Eid Al Adha just like they did with Saddam Hussein - The leader of the White House threatens the region with a third world war which pushed the Gulf leaders into a shameful position, not looking at their already shameful treason of the Ummah and the Palestinian cause - Gulf leaders are invested in this war as a matter of fate - Tehran s excuse in that will be the Gulf s support to Saddam during the Iraq Iran war - Riyadh leaders are aware that the Iranians did not forget the 25 billion dollars given to Saddam. This confession is well known in Iran and will be used when against Riyadh when Tehran sees fit - One of the Gulf leader s main wishes is the defeat of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the victory of the Zionist/Crusader alliance with the leadership of the United States. If that happens, the dangers will be many. It means the whole region will succumb to the policies of the apostates on every level. Which basically means westernization of the region, and changing the face of the Arabian peninsula in accordance to American and Zionist arrogance. 8
