Sit beside us and help us learn the purposes that our problems are going to accomplish. Help us to see how much and how often we rely on our own strengths, cleverness, and abilities. Then help us to remember that we belong to you, and that we should rely on you. Thank you for becoming human, for sharing our suffering, and for giving us hope. Be with us this day, with those on our prayer list, and those whose names we speak out loud or say silently in our hearts. Lord in your mercy..hear our prayer.

A note from M.O.M. Team Thanks to everyone who helped assemble Lutheran World Relief school kits. Our 240 kits have been barcoded and shipped to the LWR warehouse. The Mission Outreach Ministry team will keep you posted on our kits' final destination. A special thank you to Diane Lattimore for shopping for our kit items and our youth who helped bundle the pens and pencils for our kits. 4

Yellow Rose The yellow rose on the altar today went home with Margie & Danny Bell, whose daughter Shannon, gave birth to a tiny baby girl, Valerie Justine 12
On February 24, 2016 Pastor Jeffray Greene and Owen Apfel presented a check for $1,200 to Will Garner, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank, GA Division. 13
Global Hope We have partnered with Global Hope for the last several years. The Global Hope website (globalhope.org) says: God works through Global Hope to promote and nurture deep, lasting and loving relationships with orphaned and vulnerable children, and to help the local communities in which these children live to develop sustainable resources for effective, Christian parenting. God also works through Global Hope to provide cross-cultural and hands-on ministry opportunities for Christian volunteers. Scott French is the president of Global Hope in Broomfield, CO, and brother of Lynn Fletcher, I might add. He has helped unite us with the Kathryn E. Larsen Children s Home (KEL) in India. The home provides a safe environment for 25 children saved from a brutal life on the streets. We have helped provide them with a shower area, dining area and bunk beds along with Christmas parties and school uniforms and supplies. Pastor Zakkariah leads the K.E.L. efforts. He also has a Lutheran Church. You may remember they named their church after ours Word of God! We sent them Luther s Small Catechism books last year and they were very grateful. They have a lot of work to do to make repairs to their church building. We are sending them $1,500 through Global Hope to help with that project. They are also training other pastors to reach out to the community. Scott occasionally leads mission trips to India. There is also a newly opened Girls Home and Boys Home in India. If you are interested in joining one of Global Hope s mission trips, please let M.O.M. know and we will give you the contact information.
