Arline Creech Peedin 03/14/2008 Mrs. Arline C. Peedin, 79, a Raleigh resident for 62 years, died peacefully Thursday morning at Rex Hospital, in Raleigh. Mrs. Peedin was born on the Creech Family Farm in Pine Level, NC, to the late W. Gideon and Rosetta Woodard Creech. She and Steve Peedin were married on September 3, 1948 in Raleigh. Mrs. Peedin was an accountant and floral designer, during her lifetime, in Raleigh. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, since 1961. Mrs. Peedin is survived by her husband, Steve Peedin of 59 years of Raleigh; daughter, Stephanie Treadway of Garner; son and daughter-in- law, Mark and Sonia Peedin of Hillsborough; five grandchildren, Sean Treadway, Allison Treadway, Maura Presson, Michelle Peedin, Melanie Peedin; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Hicks, Tyler Hicks, Christina Presson. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Rachal of Hattisburg, MS; sister and brother-inlaw, Wanna and Ned Fraizer of Raleigh; and numerous nieces, nephews and hundreds of extended family and loving friends. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jeff Roberts. The family will receive friends following the service, in the church parlor. Raleigh. Condolences may be made through www.bryan-leefuneralhome.com. Betty Peedin Woodard May 4, 2001 Betty Peedin Woodard, 62, of 5194 US 70 East Princeton, died Wednesday night. She was the daughter of Clarence Alvin and Lois Pace Peedin. Mrs. Woodard was a member of Princeton Church of God where she served in many capacities. Mrs. Woodard was a cake decorator and a member of the North Carolina and South Carolina Nursery Association. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Princeton Cemetery, with the Reverend Rudy Peedin and Pastor Randy Turpin officiating. Family will be receiving friends at the home. Mrs. Woodard will lie in state at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by: husband, James Alton Woodard of Princeton; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen Woodard Coates and Chris of Princeton; granddaughter, Megan Lynette Coates; sister Peggy Starling of Princeton; brother, Paul Peedin of Pine Level. Although flowers are welcome, it was Betty's wish that donations be made to the Princeton Church of God Preschool or Kids Church. Clarence Alvin Peedin January 24, 2006 PINE LEVEL -- Clarence Alvin Peedin, age 90, died Sunday night in Smithfield Manor Nursing Home. A retired farmer and dairy foreman, he was most recently working with Kemp's Motors in Princeton as the assistant manager. Born September 23, 1915 in Johnston County to the late Richard Daniel and Gurney Sellers Peedin, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Peedin Woodard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pine Level. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Sandy Schaller and the Rev. Dick Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Lois Pace Peedin; son, Paul Peedin and wife, Deloris of Pine Level; daughter, Peggy Starling and husband, Kenneth of Princeton; brothers, R.V. Peedin of Jacksonville and Billy Ray Windham of Selma; sister, Edna Jane Bailey of Jacksonville, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 354, Pine Level, NC 27568. Edwin Joseph Crocker August 3, 1997 Edwin Joseph Crocker, 83, died Saturday. Graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Crocker Cemetery near Pine Level. Surviving are two sons, Robert Crocker of Goldsboro, Bruce Crocker of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three daughters, Faye Gardner of Garner, Janet Bissette of Spring Hope, Penny Felts of Athens, GA.; two brothers, Loomis Crocker and Mack Crocker, both of Pine Level; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Eunice Ann Peedin Kimbrough January 15, 2004 Eunice Ann Peedin Kimbrough, 86, of Franklinton, formerly of Smithfield, died Tuesday afternoon at Franklin Regional Hospital in Louisburg. Mrs. Kimbrough was born in Pine Level, the daughter of the late Richard Daniel Peedin and James Gurney Peedin Windham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. C. W. "Bill" Kimbrough, Sr.; brothers, Rudolph Peedin and Louis Peedin; and sisters, Gladys Evans and Eloise Henderson. She and Rev. Kimbrough served Presbyterian churches in Garland, Wilson, Greenville, Benson, Sanford and Angier during 30 years in the ministry. She was a homemaker, renown for her chicken pastry, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Following the death of her husband, she volunteered over ten years in the Ladies Auxiliary at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Smithfield First Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with Rev. John Causey officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Benson. Surviving are her son, C.W. "Bill" Kimbrough, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Franklinton; grandsons, Scott Kimbrough and his wife, Carie of Cary, and Jason Kimbrough and his wife, Leca of Royersford, PA; great grandson, William Matthew Kimbrough; brothers, Clarence Peedin of Pine Level and Richard V. Peedin of Jacksonville, and Billy Ray Windham of Pine Level; sister, Edna J. Bailey of Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Thursday at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Irene Peedin Stephenson Parrish Funeral Home 03/24/2008 Irene Peedin Stephenson, age 93, of Yelverton Grove Road near Smithfield, died Sunday. Born in Johnston County on October 15, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William Span and Nora Phillips Peedin. Her husband was the late Lester Stephenson. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday

at 2:00 PM in Yelverton Grove Free Will Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Surviving are: a son, David Stephenson and wife Vivian of Smithfield; brothers, Wilbert Peedin of Smithfield and Walter Peedin of Garner; sister, Pauline Kemple of Smithfield; grandchildren, Janet Rouland, Wayne Stephenson and Jason Stephenson; step-grandchildren, Frankie Powers and Christy Norris; great grandchildren, Justin, Lauren, and Reagan Rouland, Jay Johnson and Blake Stephenson; and step-great grandchildren, Devin and Dillon Powers, and Jonathan Flannery. James McAdoo Crocker February 10, 2007 PINE LEVEL -- James McAdoo "Mac" Crocker, 82, died Thursday. He was born August 1, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Roger Vick and Alice Peedin Crocker. He was a member of the Pine Level FWB Church. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery. Surviving are: his wife, Sue Lassiter Crocker; daughters, Lou Smith and her husband, Tom of Guilderland, NY, Pat Crocker of Greensboro; four grandchildren. Crocker, 84, died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Mr. Crocker was a Mobile Agent for Southern Railway in Goldsboro for many years. He served with the US Army during World War II in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. Mr. Crocker received the EAME Service Medal with three bronze stars, the World War II Victory Medal, and a Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Pine Level American Legion. A member of the Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church, he had served as deacon, choir member, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school superintendent. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in the Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Coates officiating. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery in Pine Level. Surviving are: his wife, Dorothy S. Crocker; sons, Gordon Crocker and wife, Judy of Rosewood, Steve Crocker and wife, Debra of Kenly, Tim Crocker and wife, Renee of Pine Level; daughter, Brenda Crocker of Pine Level; brother, Mac Crocker of Pine Level; grandchildren, John Crocker, Chris Crocker, Rev. Michael Crocker, Stephanie Crocker, Hunter Crocker, Jordan Crocker, and Anna Crocker; five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Sam, Brandon, Holly, and Abby Crocker. Surviving are: wife, Geraldine Adams Peedin; son, Donald R. "Duck" Peedin of Pine Level; daughter, Bonnie P. Woodard of Pine Level; brothers, Clarence Peedin and Billy Windham both of Pine Level, R.V. Peedin of Jacksonville, and Rudolph Peedin of Dudley; sisters, E.J. Bailey of Jacksonville and Eunice Kimbrough of Smithfield; grandson, Stacy Peedin of Pine Level; and a granddaughter, Tonya Ball of Benson.
