It also marks the 50th anniversary of Bishop Currie's ordination to the priesthood. We encourage Parishes of the Archdiocese to have another successful Appeal Collection this year. The Archbishop's Appeal helps to cover the cost of chaplaincies and spiritual care at hospitals, Her Majesty's Penitentiary, Seniors Homes and Long Term Care facilities as well as RUAH counseling outreach. Each Parish will determine which one or more of these dates will be a convenient time. During the collection month or at suitable time, we would also encourage parishes to have a fundraiser to add to the Parish contribution. Suggestions: -craft/bake sale, flea market, Bingo, card game, grand in your hand or ticket sale, golf tournament, 50/50 draw, a dinner, hymn sing, concert/variety show, dart tournament, Parish brunch or breakfast, walk-a-thon, etc. WE ENCOURAGE ALL PARISHES TO DO THE BEST THEY CAN TO MAKE THIS ARCHBISHOP'S APPEAL A BIG SUCCESS AS WE CELEBRATE MILESTONES.
