In fact, the Lord Himself desires that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other (1 Kings 8:60). This requires our obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) because God s ultimate goal is to gain glory for Himself as He grows His Kingdom. In these pages, you will meet our faithful partners in the gospel ministry. I am asking you to devote a week of prayer to advance His kingdom on their behalf. Some minister in extreme places and cities where false religions have a stronghold. This is an opportunity to join our Great Commission partners in prayer as they connect our world to Christ. So, let s join together on our knees in the days to come. Set aside time each day to seriously call upon the Lord during this week. Let s fervently ask the God of the Bible to move and reshape us. Let s call upon Him to create a new hunger inside of us for Him. Let s ask our Father through prayer and fasting to choke out the desires for other things that divert our attention from Him (Mark 4:19). Scott Maze Senior Pastor

24 Hours of Prayer & Fasting We are calling our church together to fast from Saturday evening, November 11 at 7 pm through Sunday evening, November 12 at 7 pm. For some of you, this will be a traditional fast from food. While for others, you will fast from social media, TV, or your favorite drink (i.e., Dr. Pepper or tea). Set aside time to fast and seek the Lord. In place of your hunger for food or entertainment, let s hunger for God s glory to spread across the continents, the country, and our county (Psalm 63:1-5). Each time during these 24 hours you find yourself wanting to eat or check your Facebook status, let this serve as a reminder to pray. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. 3

11.5.17 SUNDAY - SE ASIA Greg and Jennifer are members at NRHBC. Many years ago, before leaving on mission, they begain our church s K.I.D. Worship. They have been serving Christ in SE Asia with the International Mission Board for over 10 years. They have the privilege of introducing people to Jesus who have never heard of Jesus Christ or the gospel. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for Ms. Oo - a home missionary to the D people. She is a gifted evangelist but wants to grow in her ability to disciple new believers. Pray for Ms. Oo s father - he is close to believing, but has not yet trusted in Jesus. Pray for Mr. and Mrs. Khine - their transformed lives are a great testimony to their neighbors. Pray for people to believe in the Lord as they share the Good News. Pray for a Serving the Servants Retreat being planned for 2018. We will invite our local ministry partners to come for a time of encouragement and teaching. We desire to equip them to partner with us in reaching the T and D peoples. 4

11.6.17 MONDAY - CROSS CHURCH February of 1956, North Richland Hills Baptist Church began as a mission sent from Richland Hills Baptist Church. Since then, our church has grown in membership and kingdom influence in the Mid-Cities. To meet the needs of growing communities, NRHBC planted a church on the northern boundary of NRH in 1985, now known as NorthWood Church for the Communities. NorthWood Church continues to flourish in membership and kingdom influence in the area and around the world. Continuing our heritage of sending members to establish a new a mission, through the vision of Pastor Scott Maze and the leading of the Holy Spirit, NRHBC focused on starting a new work in North Fort Worth, an area exploding exponentially with homes, businesses, and schools. What is not booming (at least not yet) are Bible-believing, Christ-exalting churches. After a year of praying and planning, Cross Church DFW was launched as a satellite campus of NRHBC on Easter Sunday of 2014. We began and continue to meet on Sundays at Schluter Elementary School in Haslet, TX. Our permanent facility and worship location will be built on our 26.7 acres along Highway 287, between Blue Mound Road and Bonds Ranch Road. Construction begins this month! PRAYER POINTS: Pray for the set-up and tear-down teams each week. Pray for more volunteers from the NRH Campus to help in the set-up and tear-down rotation. Pray for the permitting and construction processes. Pray for future staffing needs as we search for student and children s ministers for Cross Church. Pray that we engage our local neighborhoods, serve local schools, and unashamedly share the gospel with our community. Pray as new families continue to visit our church, they would find community, spiritual nourishment, and a place to serve. Pray the Lord would raise up new leaders for new classes and ministries, so that we can better minister to our community. 6

11.7.17 TUESDAY - NAMB The North American Mission Board (NAMB) exists to work with churches, associations, and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting. We accomplish that through SEND North America, our national strategy for mobilizing churches to plant churches and mobilizing church planters and other missionaries to assist with those efforts. Recently, through disaster relief, the North American Mission Board is assisting churches in reaching people in need with practical help and the hope of the gospel. For more info go to wwnamb.net. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for the continued efforts to help with hurricane disaster relief in the United States of America. Pray for local NAMB parters throughout the 50 states. Pray for NAMB partners who are in the process of planting a church. 12

11.8.17 WEDNESDAY - BROOKLYN Stephen Stallard is the lead pastor of Mosaic Baptist Church. Stephen serves as one of the primary preachers and is responsible for helping to shape the mission and vision of Mosaic. He is married to Sonya, the woman of his dreams! They have a daughter, Malia, and son, Xavier. Stephen loves NYC and enjoys spicy food. He is a Brooklyn Nets fan and is passionate about ethnic diversity and discipleship. Mosaic is an intentionally diverse community. We are Jamaican, we are Taiwanese. We are White-American, Trinidadian, Italian, Thai, and everything in between. As followers of Jesus in a community with a history of racial tension, we believe that we should reflect the diversity of heaven. We come from all nations and every background imaginable, but God has made us family through Jesus. We live like a family, because we are a family, one whose mission is to make disciples of all nations. PRAYER POINTS: Pray that we would reach new people and be faithful to shepherd those God has brought. Please pray for us as we seek to creatively minister to these children and families, making disciples of the next generation. Please pray as we seek to multiply the mission, by mentoring a church planter for a Queens plant, and by exploring options for planting in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. 13

11.9.17 THURSDAY - VANCOUVER Vancouver is a growing and diverse city where 200 different languages are spoken by over 2.3 million people. Less than 3% of those in Vancouver and 0.5% on university campuses claim to be Christians. To reach the people who live in Vancouver it will take churches that reflect the ethnic makeup and culture of the communities in which they are planted. Victor and Candice Thomas moved to Vancouver to reach this gateway city with the hope and love of Jesus. As a result, The Point Church began on the campus of Simon Fraser University and now includes their downtown campus and a Coquitlam campus. Their vision is to see others come to know and love God and to see 20 church gatherings in Metro Vancouver by 2020. NRHBC and Cross Church send teams to Vancouver yearly to help with what God is doing in Vancouver. PRAYER POINTS Praise God for the great Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner that NRHBC helped us with; 225 people from over 20 nations were represented. Praise God in the growth of this outreach. Pray for follow-up with the hundreds of new contacts made at recent outreach events. Pray for the numerous non-christians who are attending and involved in The Point ministries in various ways Pray for energy for the staff and leadership team as they pursue the vision the people of Vancouver and to help them grow in Christ. Pray for God to call many from NRHBC to come join us on mission in the coming years. 14

11.10.17 FrIDAY - IMB & LOTTIE MOON The International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention sends out missionaries all over the world. North Richland Hills Baptist Church and Cross Church partner with the IMB. Our vision is a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ. IMB partners with churches to empower limitless missionary teams who are evangelizing, discipling, planting, and multiplying healthy churches, and training leaders among unreached peoples for the glory of God. For more info go to imb.org. Starting in 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering was established to empower the international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. After more than a century, the annual offering continues its steady growth. The National Goal this year is $160 Million. Your giving to Grow Together enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for the hundreds of IMB missionaries all over the world. Pray for IMB partners in closed countries, where Christians often experience persecution. Pray for the Southern Baptist Convention and the IMB to continue to get the funding they need to send individuals on mission. Pray for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering of 2017. Pray that the national goal of $160 million will be met. 15

11.11.17 SATURDAY - ORPHANS & Outcasts Orphans & Outcasts travels deep into the remote tribal villages located in the mountainous jungles and forests of the Red Corridor, preaching the Good News of Christ Jesus to the indigenous peoples of East India. Upon reaching them, they rescue orphaned children, care for widows and lepers, and preach the Good News while teaching and training others to do the same. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for the orphaned children in East India. Pray for these children to one day ask Jesus Christ into their hearts. Pray for the leaders and parters that work with Orphans & Outcasts on a daily basis. 16

11.12.17 SUNDAY - GHI Through God s sovereign plan, purpose and grace, Gospel Harvesters International (GHI) is serving in the evangelism and church planting ministry, Harvesters Theological College and Father s Home Orphanage in Tamil Nadu, Southern India. India is known for its ethnic and religious diversity. It is still an unreached nation with several unreached people groups. Our goal is to proclaim the Gospel to all that we come across, as well as reach those who have yet to hear of Christ. We are grateful and thankful to God and to NRHBC and Cross Church for your love, encouragement, prayer, and faithful support over the years. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for the spiritual and physical health of our 122 worshiping communities in the villages in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Pray that God would equip our 60 students at Harvesters Theological College for a lifetime of ministry. Pray for the holistic development of our 36 orphan children at the Father s Home Orphanage. Pray for the process of building the new Father s Home Orphanage. Pray for banking issues as the present Indian government is indirectly making attempts to curb missions and missionary activity in India. 17

BONUS DAY ZAMBIA, AFRICA - EPI Evangelism Partners International (EPI) works with unreached people groups in Zambia. They work with an indigenous pastor to share Christ with unreached villages using the Jesus film and sharing the gospel in the public schools. To date, 196 new churches have been started in Zambia and Mozambique with over 1,200 schools being reached with the gospel. PRAYER POINTS: Pray for EPI s 8 planted missionary families who are now evangelizing and planting churches in the eastern province. Pray for our 22 remaining missionary families who are waiting to be planted in the various parts of Zambia. Pray for Iwell Phiri the director of EPI s African Ministry. Pray for the 4 church planters in N. Pakistan that have joined the EPI team and have planted over 300 house churches using the Jesus film. Pray for 2 church planters in N. Myanmar that have joined our EPI team and are now showing the Jesus film and planting churches. 18

In John 6, a boy brought all he had to Jesus a sack lunch. Just as God used his sacrificial gift to reach people for Jesus, we are asking that every member of NRHBC and Cross Church bring an offering on November 12. A portion of all Grow Together funds support the mission efforts here at NRHBC and Cross Church. As part of this one day $225,000 goal, part will be given to local, national and world missions. Prayerfully consider your sack lunch to be used by God Thank you for your investment in proclaiming Christ to those who have not yet received Him as Lord.
