ST. JOSEPH PARISH We now begin to enter into the most sacred, awesome week of the Christian calendar. What we recall and bring alive this week reminds us of the enormity of God s love for us and God s desire that we live into eternity with God and the saints. Please participate in the Triduum services and Masses so that we as a community may approach our God with gratitude and love. Masses Masses on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (eq 29 th, 30 th and 31st) will be at 9:00 AM. NO MORNING MASSES on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (March 29th, 30th, 31st). Services on Holy Thursday and Good Friday begin at 7:30 PM. On Holy Saturday the Easter Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 PM. There will be NO 4:00 PM MASS ON SATURDAY. The Easter Vigil Mass is the ONLY Mass allowed on Holy Saturday. There will be No Confessions on Saturday, March 31st. No Morning Mass Stations of the Cross at 3:00 PM Celebration of the Lord s Passion 7:30 PM No Morning Mass, No 4:00 PM Mass Easter Vigil 7:30 PM Masses 7:30, 9:00, 10 30 AM Operation Rice Bowl CRS Rice Bowl Reflection: Assisting our Neighbors 25 percent of contributions to CRS Rice Bowl remain in our diocese, helping to support local poverty and hunger alleviation programs. This week, we pray for people in our own community who struggle with poverty and hunger. Give to your Rice Bowl to support progams that help the poor in our own community, as well as in communities around the world. Operation Rice Bowl Boxes should be returned with your offerings this weekend (Palm Sunday, March 24th / 25th). "Tenebrae Service" Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 PM St Joseph Choir and Robert Bezubka, Music Director, invite you to attend a Holy Week ", Tenebrae Service" Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 PM. This service is sometimes referred to as the "Service of Shadows" where increasing darkness is used along with hymns and responsorial psalms to dramatize the death Jesus Christ. You are invited to attend and celebrate the sadness of Christ's crucifixion for our sins "once for all". Annual Easter Egg Hunt Annual Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, April 1sthopefully outside on the lawn. One side of the lawn will be for ages 0-4 and the other side will be set up for ages 5 to 11. There will be plenty of eggs and surprises for all. If it is cold and/or rainy, we will have the hunt in the hall and conference room. MALDEN TUESDAY, MARCH 27 -TENEBRAE SERVICE at 7:30 PM. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28. NO BINGO this week. ROSARY every weekday morning at 8:25 AM in the church and after the 9:00 AM Mass. Filipino Apostolate Mass The Filipino Apostolate Malden Chapter celebrates Mass in this Parish every second Sunday of the month at 1:00 PM. Following the Mass, there is a pot luck lunch in the hall. All coats may be dropped into the Bread of Life box in the church foyer. We will then deliver them to Bread of Life.
