Be on hand to affirm them in this important caring work. Bibles for Inmates We are collecting used Bibles and taking contributions to help purchase new Bibles for the Prison Ministry. Just bring your used Bibles to church. All versions welcome, even those that have been written in. You can also contribute money to buy Bibles. Every $3.50 enables the Prison Ministry to purchase a paperback Bible especially designed for the average inmate s reading skills. Please clearly designate your gift for Prison Ministry Bibles. Mission Trip to Tanzania This August, a group from Powhatan Community Church will be in the African nation of Tanzania on a two-week mission trip. Last year s mission was a transforming experience for those who went and opened many opportunities of service and friendship in both northern and southern Tanzania.
