It certainly warmed our hearts to hear their angelic voices, and see them dressed so beautifully in their Christmas attire! Thank you for coming out in the very cold temperatures to share this very special afternoon /evening with us. The children definitely helped to bring the Christmas spirit to all of us in attendance! This week is one that will be filled with great anticipation for the boys and girls. We will reflect on our Advent promises, and continue to reach out to others in meaningful ways. We look forward to the Senior Christmas Tea this week, where our children can again extend themselves, sing for the Seniors, and help bring joy to the elderly. Our class will warm their hearts by talking with the Seniors and distribute candies to them too! Thanks to many kind families for their donations to this special event! This Thursday we will have a small Christmas party in the afternoon after lunch. The children will exchange their grab bag gifts, frost cookies, and enjoy munching and mingling with their classmates. Feel free to stop by for a bit and grab the excitement from them! Following our party, we will meet with our Prayer Partners for more Christmas festivities! We have completed our next reader (Reader #2) and will review all skills throughout the week before beginning the next OUR MISSION STATEMENT reader (after break). It would be helpful for your child to review all glossary words and story highlights at the back of the reader this week. I also recommend rereading stories for fluency. The children are quite excited to get their new reader and new practice workbook too! As busy as this Christmas season can be, with shopping, wrapping, baking, sending cards, - it is so important to remember what this season truly means. Please remind yourselves to find a little time to remember your blessings, and Jesus as our Savior who makes everything possible in our lives. May your holidays be filled with peace, love, and many treasured memories with family and friends. Merry, Merry Christmas to you!! Sincerely, Mrs. Wilson We at Saint Kateri School strive to continue to develop each child's relationship with God by promoting a Christ-centered Catholic Academic Education focused on the Gospel Message of love, responsibility, and service to others
